General Manager Sack Watch

Thomas Frank to Forest and relegates Spurs would be funny. Although going from Brentford’s very capable and sane ownership to Spurs mediocre and then Forest’s mad gangster is a challenge, you can strangely get much richer from managing the nutters clubs than the same owners ones.

I agree it’s ridiculous but there’s too much riding on relegation from the top flight for owners not to make those changes. I’d like to see Southgate back in club football but don’t think it’ll happen in the UK.

By the same measure of sack the manager when a club is in a bad run, what are the chances of Bloomfield picking up his P45 soon I wonder?
Whatever the equivalent is in football management for fiscal headroom, Blofeld hasn't got any. 5 home games and we haven't scored a goal.

It would be funny - Forest are another basket case down to their owner - they were 9th in the Prem on current form - what more did he expect

I’d say they’re fairly remote. Thohir doesn’t strike me as a Marinakis kind of guy.

Even by Watford's standards, this is a belter.

"I know, let's employ Will Still's s**t brother".

I think I've probably made this point before but by 2067 over 95% of the users of this board will have been Watford manager at least once. Several will have done so four or five times.

Clearly spends too much time stroking a pussy, instead of coaching the players.

Thought we’d have learnt a lesson after Robinson.

I hope Forest’s new manager bombs and they go down.

Makinakis might, just might, start to get the message if that happens.

Knowing him though, it’ll probably need to their next two managers to bomb before they get relegated..

Stating the bloody obvious but he isn't wrong. They should be a mid table PL team, who wins the odd Trophy every now and then, that could push on to better under long term good management. As of now, they are a bottom end PL team with very good facilities.

I wonder how many Spurs fans on social media are spitting feathers though.

I do wonder how much clubs have spent removing managers because, afaik, they aren`t "sacked" just contract/notice paid up and back on the merry go round?
Sheffield United were still paying Wilder when they asked him back 😂

Good news if true as he did poorly at Stoke and I think international manager turning to clubs find it more diificult than the other way round.

Glad GR not going there , but did think it odd as he likes control and the venkys don't allow that

Absolutely mental appointment.

Absolutely mental football club.

It's a real shame that they're not 10 points and half a dozen places shyer- as that could have seen them dragged into things at the bottom.

It's the great leveller at Championship level - woeful managerial appointments. They'll always be half a dozen sides in any season who make a pig's ear of it - whether from the outset or midway.

Get your own appointment right, and you'll always have a chance of staying up due to the kamikaze nature of any number of clubs in this division, every f*cking season.
Hang on, didn’t you want us to scour the continent for up and coming talent, rather than appointing the boy next door? Maybe they’ve got their appointment right and it’s us who messed up.

Just in place till Pochetinno finishes with the USA after the World Cup. Can’t see spurs going down, between West Ham and Forest for me and I fancy it being Forest, only so long you can be owned and run by a psycho Greek gangster before it all goes wrong.

Going to be gutting missing out on Wolves and Forest/West Ham, at least the other is Burnley.

Job share for Michael O’Neill at Blackburn Rovers:
