General Manager Sack Watch

If anyone wants a laugh, Watford, who are searching for yet another manager, had been linked with Will Still. Turns out that they are actually close to appointing is brother, Edward Still. Their fans are, predictably, not happy.

HIs middle name is Elton. Just saying.

Absolutely mental appointment.

Absolutely mental football club.

It's a real shame that they're not 10 points and half a dozen places shyer- as that could have seen them dragged into things at the bottom.

It's the great leveller at Championship level - woeful managerial appointments. They'll always be half a dozen sides in any season who make a pig's ear of it - whether from the outset or midway.

Get your own appointment right, and you'll always have a chance of staying up due to the kamikaze nature of any number of clubs in this division, every f*cking season.

Could still drop it doesn't take long to drop if your not picking g up points and others are

But, despite the manager merry go round, they don’t struggle at this level? The “head coach” is just a figurehead for them to blame when they go on a bad run, the real work must be done by others behind the scenes.

For all that their manager position is a merry-go-round, I think Watford are actually pretty good at player recruitment. Whenever you see them play, they've always got a decent mix of big, fast athletes and proper footballers.

If they ever let a decent manager work for eighteen months with one of their squads, they'd probably end up back in the Premier League......

Shame about the Spurs sacking......I was really enjoying watching Frank lead them to the Championship.......

It is ridiculous nowadays. The first hint of a bad run and the manager is gone. Alex Ferguson would be merely a punchline if he'd managed in the current culture.
I agree it’s ridiculous but there’s too much riding on relegation from the top flight for owners not to make those changes. I’d like to see Southgate back in club football but don’t think it’ll happen in the UK.

By the same measure of sack the manager when a club is in a bad run, what are the chances of Bloomfield picking up his P45 soon I wonder?
