General Manager Sack Watch

From the outside looking in, Gillingham seem to be owned by a Yank who has no clue what he is doing, so for Ainsworth to leave a club for them says a hell of a lot about the state Shrewsbury are in.
Shrewsbury have always been pretty well run for a club of their size. The problem is that they are owned and run by Roland Wycherley as his own personal fiefdom. Anyone who has had any dealings with him will know what I mean, but for more insight have a look at my financial piece on them in last season's Fan's View by @Paul B

Good read that, sounds like quite the character!

As long as Roland has a nice match day experience watching his team then that's all that matters.

I know some seem to have a soft spot for Evens, for some reason. I can't stand him. I have worked with people like him - possibly a laugh in social situations, but as an organiser and motivator, a one trick pony with an inflated view of their own qualities and all too ready to throw absolutely anyone else under the bus when the bluster and bullying fails to get results.

Some other club will eventually employ him, and he will eventually alienate the players, staff and supporters there too.

I can confirm that even in a social situation the guy is a complete t**t.

As far as I am concerned, the "financial irregularities" at Boston is more than enough for me to despise the man.

Paul Davis’ brutal hit piece on Steve Evans following his sacking:

Must be a strange scenario having to maintain some sort of a rapport going with a bloke like Evans for the purposes of your job, when deep down you can't stand him and how he behaves.

With any luck they’ll go and get Rohl from Wednesday before Saturday.
I believe there some silly clause which means if Southampton wait till the end of the season they save themselves 3m. You’d imagine if he’s the man they want they just pay the fee and get him in for the rest of the season though.
