Sacking your manager just after the transfer window shuts is just bizarre.
Damn, would have been better if he'd stayed on till after Tuesday. All the downed tools will be up and in hand now looking to impress whoever comes in next.

I’m not sure a new manager is likely to make an impact between now and Tuesday.
I assume they will travel to Norwich today, then rest on Sunday. That gives a new manager, if appointed, one day to change things.

I make that 7 out of the bottom 9 teams in the Championship have sacked their manager this season including ourselves.
Just Portsmouth and Swansea have kept faith.
Hopefully Norwich beat them tomorrow and Tuesday they’ll have it out of their system

I think they’re playing a league game at Norwich tomorrow. I wish I could feel more confident about the next two games, on paper we’re favourites.

Yep, it does very clearly show just how big a jump the Champ is tactically. Karl “tactics” Robinson got a team promoted and swiftly relegated as he couldn’t adapt. Warne consistently produces excellent League 1 teams.
Des “get it out to the wingers” tactic stopped working with no wingers.
There’s no shame in it. It’s a hard league where it’s increasingly tactical, where the players don’t have the tech capability of the prem.
We are so lucky to have a manager who knows exactly what this league needs.

Statistics say there in no such thing as the new-manager bounce. However, if you throw GR's MOTM award into the mix... I can see how a superstitious person may have a bad feeling about this.
