Man United chose to fly between Manchester and East Midlands airport for their game at Leicester due to "congestion". Not sure it does much for their green credentials to take a flight for a 100 mile trip.

I remember them doing the same for an FA or League cup game against Aldershot. They were so put off by the thought of using a lower league clubs facilities, they didn't even use the changing room. Played the game and got back on the plane at Farnborough and flew home again. No scheduled flights there either!

The irony is EMA is 23 miles away from Leicester so, by the time they drove to an airport and drove from EMA and, I`ll guess drove back to EMA afterwards, they "saved" the sum total of feck all.

Clearly jet lagged after that performance 😂.
