EPL Man City - FFP

Man City has lost a 1st appeal on their FFP case with UEFA. I can't see a rationale for UEFA not having the authority to bring a case against Man City considering it is UEFA's rules.

That'll keep sports broadcasters busy all day. No doubt the tiny irrelevant match at Wembley this evening will slip by almost unnoticed. Non-Premier League Teams Matter!

No, no, all teams matter, why should anyone be talking about Oxford or Wycombe any more today than all of the other teams?? ?

Money wins.............again.

Reading the judgement they might as well have said "Thank you for the plain brown envelopes stuffed with cash, you got caught but it was silly, now run along and don`t get caught again".

What a bloody surprise!!!!

Bribery & Corruption the winner yet again.

does that open the door for that shower down the wrong end of A420 to 'get away' with their Chairman/owner breaching FA financial rules and regs regarding shares, etc too?

No chance... they can`t afford to fill the brown envelopes, they`ll get done ............ hopefully sooner rather than later.

Much like when Russia and Qatar were awarded World Cup tournaments, there is nothing to see here. Please ignore their wives’ fancy new coats, and keep in mind that they were always going to be holidaying in the gulf, where they have long since enjoyed palace accommodation and limousine transportation.

It's a shame, because I was enjoying the idea of Moneybags City being banned from Europe, and someone like Leicester or Wolves getting a chance instead.

But at the same time, it sounds like UEFA made an absolute balls up of this investigation/decision, and didn't adhere to their own rules. So there's some enjoyment in seeing them get their lunch handed to them.

Now, if they'd only have the guts to go out and write a set of FFP rules that would actually be strong, transparent and create a fair and even playing field.......

(I won't hold my breath)

UEFA being their usual incompetent selves. Man City should sue the a**e of UEFA. The whole case was basically flawed lacking in legal substance

Who thought a system that was fundamentally flawed at concept and applied inconsistently was suddenly prone to a fairness judgement. I suspect City know they are a little lucky, but UEFA made it easy for high powered lawyers to find the flaws

I'm not a fan on of FFP. Let's be honest - It was brought in to satisfy the presidents of Real Madrid, Barca, Man Utd, Bayern etc who want to maintain the status quo and don't like these little upstarts coming up and taking the Champions League places which they feel should be 'rightfully theirs'.

It’s bent as, how are clubs supposed to compete with clubs in the champions league without investing in players? FFP basically turns domestic leagues into feeders for the top couple of teams who regularly play in the champions league, since it was bought in it has made a lot of Europe’s domestic leagues pointless.

The whole idea............ European Super League and then a World League for the ££££`s.

I don't get why some believe premier league should bail out lower league teams but hearing pundits etc saying the league cup needs to go because there wont be time to fit in all the games is a pis* take when they don't mention cutting the farce that is European football...Stop the Champions/Europa "League" why not make that a Knock out competition so less games are played like it use to be.

it's all very well having virtual dictatorship that threatens to cut off potential income for lower league teams whilst watching the ££££ come in from European football.
