Did anyone got to this game? What are your memories? It was our first game in 3 weeks due to weather I think. Unfortunately I couldn't go but I was at the previous game in early Feb where we hammered Chelsea 1-4 at Stamford Bridge (our first away win in the top flight) and we were unplayable that day. Certainly makes ya feel old when you tell anyone under 30 we once thrashed Chelsea & Man City away in consecutive games in what is now the Premiership...!

No but I did see the other 2 wins at Maine Road. Always seemed to be a demonstration outside either against the board or the manager. Were a friendly bunch walking out after we beat them as well in my experience.

Yep, I was there. It was freezing and the second in the run of three successive away victories (Chelsea, City and Luton).

My only real memory if it is the Oxford fans chanting “Silly c*%t” at one Oxford fan who failed to throw the ball back over the fence into the pitch about 8 times.

We were in the corner next to the Kippax stand.

I was there. The joys of parking at Moss side come to mind. What a place it was then.
I remember that City were all over us at the start but we settled down eventually. Remember striker Gordon Davies missing chances for them at the home end. We won at a canter in the end.

No, missed this unfortunately. Hadn't won away all season, then won 4-1 at Chelsea to stop them going top of the league, then at Man City, and made it 3 in a row against Luton on their plastic pitch. Around the same time as getting to Wembley, what a few weeks it was.

Never had trouble in the 3 games with parking there but then I wasn't in a nice car, either a bashed up Maestro or a lower spec 1.1 Fiesta.

I did go to that game but, bizarrely, don't remember much about it. Remember the two games the previous season much more, the promotion season from Division 2 (now Championship).
Won 3-0 at home in March. At their place (October time), we lost 1-0. I think end of long unbeaten run c/fwd from the previous season. Bobby MacDonald had a (header) goal disallowed.

Scandalously disallowed, another thing I've not let go after over 35 years ? I think it was Brock who was flagged offside, although he never touched the ball or got involved in the attack in any way...

Yes I was there, as said they were all over us at the start, they hit the post and done everything but score. We gradually turned it around the crowd got on there backs and the rest is history
I went up on the Battle Bus (remember that)
And s**t myself drinking in a pub in Moss Side before the game

*before* the game?

Wouldn’t say I remember them well but was at both games. Travelled on the old London Road battle bud. Couldn’t afford to up grade to the executive coaches lol. Remember just after getting the come on from the City youth. Group of us gave them a little chase. Rounded a corner and there was loads of them waiting for us. Never turned round so fast in all my life lol. Happy days

I also remember, very well, the 2-0 win at Maine Road in late 1990's, they had their £M signings, incl Lee Bradbury. Shotton was manager, Cooke & Beauchamp scored, we clawed away from relegation and the result pushed City closer to relegation to Div 3 to play Macclesfield & York. Massey got injured and didn't play again.

I was there, lots of trouble coming out of the London road if I remember correctly. Actually stopped going after that for a few years.

I said it was before the game. After the game we had to stay in the stadium and then the coaches were escorted out of Manchester
I thought something wasn’t right when they were collecting for the IRA inside the pub, still what a result ?
