Apart from the EFL Cup there isn't a lot to judge him on (18 minutes of league football) so not easy for anyone to write up.What an absolute waste of space article. Summary:
As much as people may have their reservations towards the OM, at least Liam Rice's articles are a bit more developed than that, even on slow news days.
- Derby were disappointed to lose a young asset, particularly to Oxford.
- Quote from Des when he joined the club.
- He's not had the best of starts.
- Cam's injury might make some space for him in the side.
Edit: No offence @MarkG for sharing, just knocking the article itself.
Exactly... so why write the article now? Have they already written one on each of their other summer departures ?Apart from the EFL Cup there isn't a lot to judge him on (18 minutes of league football) so not easy for anyone to write up.
Has there been a falling out or is he not fully fit? Can’t seem to get on even when players are knackered and we have spare subs left.
El-Mizouni was on a yellow and barely moving by the last ten minutes or so. I’m sure if you asked Sibley ‘Do you think you could make an impact, offer something different?’ he would have said yes. He’s also I think the only non-defender who’s been on the bench constantly for the last few games and not seen a single minute of action, which makes him unique for whatever reason.Des has spoken about not making subs for the sake of it and disrupting the balance. Can't see what he would have offered differently today.
Are there doubters and naysayers of Sibley?Great to see him get his chance - and I think he showed the doubters and the naysayers what he ‘offers differently’…
Are there doubters and naysayers of Sibley?
Yes, on this very thread I asked why he didn’t get any game time on Tuesday with subs available and our midfield tiring after having put in a shift on a heavy pitch, and was told he wouldn’t have offered anything different so there was no point. Are there doubters and naysayers of Sibley?

He signed here to be a number 10, as did Idris. But both have played as an 8 in the past few years. Last season Sibley got stuck as a LWB at Derby, so he's definitely versatile. What position does Sibley play? Is he a no 8, wide player, no 10? Have to confess that I don't know.
