Current Player Thread Louie Sibley

unoriginal but a surely a chant based on this?

Seriously impressive to get a signing like this over the line, the summer recruitment has been fantastic so far and really suggests we're not going to be making up the numbers this season. Great work Des and Ed.

I seriously wasn’t surprised as I noticed he was available on a free yesterday.
That is a seriously good signing.
Good on Des for getting him over the line.
Welcome to OUFC Louie

Cracking signing, fact that Derby wanted him to stay says everything, been linked with various championship clubs in the past. Versatile, young, and only going to get better. Doffs cap to the recruitment team.

Welcome Louie, hope you have a happy and successful time with the yellows.

What an absolute waste of space article. Summary:
  • Derby were disappointed to lose a young asset, particularly to Oxford.
  • Quote from Des when he joined the club.
  • He's not had the best of starts.
  • Cam's injury might make some space for him in the side.
As much as people may have their reservations towards the OM, at least Liam Rice's articles are a bit more developed than that, even on slow news days.

Edit: No offence @MarkG for sharing, just knocking the article itself.

Apart from the EFL Cup there isn't a lot to judge him on (18 minutes of league football) so not easy for anyone to write up.

Des has spoken about not making subs for the sake of it and disrupting the balance. Can't see what he would have offered differently today.
El-Mizouni was on a yellow and barely moving by the last ten minutes or so. I’m sure if you asked Sibley ‘Do you think you could make an impact, offer something different?’ he would have said yes. He’s also I think the only non-defender who’s been on the bench constantly for the last few games and not seen a single minute of action, which makes him unique for whatever reason.
