I’ve never been more convinced Harris isn’t a striker. Genuinely, and I mean this with no disrespect whatsoever to him, he has zero striking instinct. None. He’s not a great finisher but there just isn’t any of the selfishness you have to have in that position.

He’s a quality attacking midfielder being asked to do a role he is just the antithesis of.

It really worried me to see OxVox's grovelling in gratitude just to get a few minutes of flannel on a Teams call from the small-time Serbian football agent currently pretending to be an EFL club chairman.
His answers were wholly unsatisfactory. Wholly. Not one thing of substance was said.
Wednesday fans got it spot on. As did we back in the 90s. Need some fire in the belly, not just forelock-tugging deference.

I personally think we wouldn't have sold 7000 season tickets if people would have know about the Embargo and if things are not sorted by January and we are have season of struggling many of the season ticket holders will stay away.

There are parts of your post I do agree with Charlie, especially the bits about following Wednesday's fans example. But sadly, it all gets a bit chip on your shoulder I'm afraid especially with your comments about the chairman who is new to the role (albeit hardly made a shining start).

I renewed my season ticket on the first day renewals went active. The rumours of an embargo came much later when we were linked with players but had not announced a signing.

My source states that the efl notified the club well in advance of the embargo being official. The board were expecting the owner / share holders to add the required funds to avoid the embargo going ahead.

Last season the club said there had been no change in budget. We went from BDK and Spencer to Davies and Alan Campbell cleaning boots.

As cons go. Last season makes this one look quite low level.

I thought I'd have a look at the match thread and I've just read several pages of whinging , arguing, bitching posts about embargo s and being conned etc.
How depressing .

I travelled to Orient with my grandson, his first away game, honestly believing we would win 2-1.
For the first 10 minutes we looked good but after that Orient settled and we began to make errors, some of the passing was erratic to say the least but at half time I still thought we would win.
Some strange substitutions, maybe we were treating it as a final preseason game, made us weaker, and by the 80th minute I was convinced we were heading for penalties, I couldn't see either side scoring, but then 2 in a couple of minutes snd it's bye bye league cup run.

Then, when you just want to get out of town after a defeat you stand on the platform at Leyton watching 4 eastbound trains go through before a Westbound one turns up.

Perhaps we should have gone back to the excellent supporters club after the game instead......

Just an idea guys, but can we keep the match threads for talking about the match, and not about tearing each other apart over the rest of the s**t going on in and around the club.

None of us should 'let it go'. For those of us who were rattling buckets back in the 90s this actually means something.
I'm never going to get over-exersized about how the team plays. That's football - good times, bad times. We've had 15 odd years of good times, now we are probably due a bit of a poor period.
But I'm not going to be relaxed about whether our club continues to exist.
And when the top 3 people at the club (owner, 'chairman', CEO) are all awol and either unwilling to answer questions at all, or only willing to pretend to answer them..... then we shouldn't just sit back, chill out and enjoy the ride.
If spades go in the ground at Kidlington the week after FOSB finally fail then I'll be delighted to re-retire from this board. And when that stadium is completed in June '28, I'll doff my 1986 ox head hat to Thohir, even if we're bottom of L2 at the time.
The stadium is all that matters. The embargo is only important inasmuch as it begs the question as to whether the funding for the stadium is in place.

Well I finally agree with one of your posts @charliesghost the stadium IS the most important thing in town. We started in non league and climbed to the top, we’ve fallen back into non league and climbed out.We are now where we’ve been most of the time since we entered the league. Players come and go, managers come and go, owners come and go. The only people who stay are the fans.
We have been to Wembley five times (six v Wycombe during COVID) and have taken more than 30,000 fans each time, the support is there
Fans will follow the club, but serious questions need to be answered. Feel sorry for Ramsey, he has taken over the Karl Robinson role of answering all questions about the club because he is the only visible one to ask
