With the players left a the club that starting 11 was the best we have and Leyton Orient aren’t going to be playoff material there are far better teams than them in L1 so god help us

The problem is that for long periods of this game we have looked almost exactly as we did last year. Overly defensive and pushed back too easily. OK unless we concede and then we have little chance of getting back into it and indeed, fall apart. Of course, there are reasons for that - I hope the owner is watching and deciding that a 150 million quid stadium needs a team more likely to be in the Championship than League 2.

It's been remarkably similar to last season.

I'm fairly pragmatic in general, but even i find the nature of the performance alarming.

There is absolutely no chance this squad will do anything of note this season - that was the case 4 weeks ago, it’s the case now, too.

Instead of berating players, management, tactics, whatever. Aim your anger at the c***s who got us in this place. Tim Williams. Grant Ferguson. Dusan Bodgdanovic. Ed Waldron. Gary Rowett. Matt Bloomfield.

A squad lacking in quality is not the fault of the players, it’s the fault of the person who signs them in the first place. The players shouldn’t be in this position, and they require all of the support we can possibly give them. Note the players who don’t want to play for the club, and compare them to those who’ll fight for every ball.

We have a truly pathetic fanbase, toxic delusion or toxic positivity - it’s good for no one. Take a step back, assess where we are and realise that 20th in the league would unarguably be a success this season. Delusion of the highest level if you think we waltz into a play off position by default.

I don't think anybody thinks we are going to waltz into a playoff spot. Just want the team to show some desire and teamwork. Everyone knows it's going to be a tough season. .

Just the situation we are in. We may aswell get on with it and move on.

From the bench named today we were looking for the starting XI to do the business for us today and they didn't turn up. Man-for-man they're good enough but didn't show it by creating enough quality chances and working the keeper. Their goal came from AEW being down injured which gave them the space to score, otherwise it would have likely petered out to a 0-0 away at a side who'll probably finish in mid-table.

The starters need to stand up and be counted next weekend, and if there is any positive to take out of the game, it means our fixture list will look a tiny bit less congested.
