Black Swan is normally a good betDoes anyone know of any pubs confirmed to be showing the game on sky sports+? Would be great to watch it at a watering hole with some fellow U's fans!
Just got my ticket - still a few shy of selling out. Come on, it might be a shitty cup game but it's a day out in London and giving the lads potentially vital support - let's sell out that away end (side, whatever)
My Orient supporting mate says that the designated away pub is the Lion & Key but that the Birkbeck should also be fineJust got my ticket for Saturday, anyone know any decent away pubs prior? Was thinking heading to the Birbeck.
The City Arms normally shows every Oxford game that's televised.Dont know if helpful or not as neither are in town or on/off cowley rd, but, in Headington, unconfirmed yet ( via Social media), but usually, going on previous seasons, The Ampleforth Arms Risinghurst and The Masons Arms, Quarry screen OUFC away games ( on Sky Sports +)
Nice place, stayed there last year for Sam fender concert at London stadium ….My Orient supporting mate says that the designated away pub is the Lion & Key but that the Birkbeck should also be fine
I drank in a non designated pub last time (I can't remember the name). There were loads of Oxford fans inside because the designated pub was was overwhelmed. This caused some annoyance among staff and locals alike but we couldn't be budged. I think I will stick to the West End this time.
Our allocation was 1250, so 900 sold if your estimate of how many tickets are left.I make it around 350 tickets left, not certain what the allocation is but we are not selling it out at this stage. Least the queues for the tube back into London after will be shorter I suppose.
Disagree. It's our first game of the season, and first game under a new manager, on a sunny Saturday in London, when there's been so much going on at the club over the summer. At £15 a ticket. 1k sold is ok, but it certainly isn't 'extremely good'. I don't understand why anyone would be planning to go out and watch this on telly in a pub in Oxford rather than jumping on the train or coach...If we have sold 1k tickets that would be extremely good.
On tv, not a league game etc...
That's because you don't run a retail business.Disagree. Yes, he's obviously in a minority among Oxford supportersThat's because you don't run a retail business.
I thought we’d sell around 500-750 when the draw was made given the apathy these days for this competition.Disagree. That's what I said - it's ok. It's not 'extremely good'.1,000 is ok for the first round of the Carabao Cup these days based on these comparisons. COYY.
I’m outside the UK therefore can access on OUTV but not Sky. So I humbly resubmit my enquiry. Predictably, no useful info available on the OUFC website.Anyone know if it’s on OUTV or just Sky?
