Dont know if helpful or not as neither are in town or on/off cowley rd, but, in Headington, unconfirmed yet ( via Social media), but usually, going on previous seasons, The Ampleforth Arms Risinghurst and The Masons Arms, Quarry screen OUFC away games ( on Sky Sports +)

I make it around 350 tickets left, not certain what the allocation is but we are not selling it out at this stage. Least the queues for the tube back into London after will be shorter I suppose.

I drank in a non designated pub last time (I can't remember the name). There were loads of Oxford fans inside because the designated pub was was overwhelmed. This caused some annoyance among staff and locals alike but we couldn't be budged. I think I will stick to the West End this time.

This. 100 times over.

The 'designated away pub' is usually the worst one in the vicinity. Too busy. Sh*t beer. Waste of time.

So many examples of away games where a little bit more effort will help you find far superior offerings elsewhere, close by.

Occasionally worth it at 2.30 for the atmosphere if you're already well oiled elsewhere, but 9 times out of 10 it's to be avoided.

Last time we went there a load of Oxford got turned away from a pub, I watched them retrace there steps then went to the door, the guy asked if I had a ticket, I said ' a ticket for a pub?, no the match, 'what match?, told him I was just visiting the area of my birth and he let me in, about 20 Oxford in there already.

The away pub was some poxy wine bar type place so I went to the supporters club , sime nice Porters on offer at £4 a pint, so back there Saturday

Our allocation was 1250, so 900 sold if your estimate of how many tickets are left.

Disagree. It's our first game of the season, and first game under a new manager, on a sunny Saturday in London, when there's been so much going on at the club over the summer. At £15 a ticket. 1k sold is ok, but it certainly isn't 'extremely good'. I don't understand why anyone would be planning to go out and watch this on telly in a pub in Oxford rather than jumping on the train or coach...

I thought we’d sell around 500-750 when the draw was made given the apathy these days for this competition.

Last season a whopping 3,452 attended the home match v Colchester.

Season before that 11,808 saw us lose to Coventry (a). Sounds like a big number until you compare it to over 28,000 watching the same match in the league 10 days earlier.

1,000 is ok for the first round of the Carabao Cup these days based on these comparisons. COYY.

I’m outside the UK therefore can access on OUTV but not Sky. So I humbly resubmit my enquiry. Predictably, no useful info available on the OUFC website.

I believe that cup games are a danger to our league position until the embargo is cleared and we able to bring new players in. I hope we use Saturday as another pre season game and give some of those who haven’t had much game time a run.
As for the EFL trophy, I hope we use as few first team players as we can get away with.
A bad run of injuries will result in youth team players being drafted in.
