Yeah, but surely it would be better for us to have a low ranked team at home which we can hopefully make a meal of squeezing past before getting a draw in R3 against one of the top sides, rather than getting a bottom-half PL team?Manchester United are in round 2 due to no European involvement this season.
It is until round 3I think the second round is still regionalised.
Yes a lower league side at home would do, although we do seem to huff and puff a bit playing against them tbh...so on the flip side of that Brentford or Fulham away would be an extremely nice way to spend an afternoon before the game and I'd get to buy lunch (again) for my daughter who lives in Putters.Looking at the draw later, its still regionalised, decent fixtures would be Cambridge or Bromley (winnable) Reading or Wycombe (winnable local games) or any of the prem teams, West ham, Brentford, Brighton, Bournemouth and Fulham, although we never draw Fulham, haven't played them for years so them away would be my pick. The rest of the fixtures are tough ones against sides in our league or sides in league one we have played recently.
Yeah this for me also. I've a new Stephen King novel that I really should get around to starting.Reading at home please.
new grounds for me in the Southern section.
West Ham, Bromley, Brentford, Brighton, Bournemouth, Fulham, Southampton.
Same for me except Brentford and Bournemouth, plus we'll get Southampton in the league anyway, so basically West Ham, Bromley, Brighton or Fulham pleasenew grounds for me in the Southern section.
West Ham, Bromley, Brentford, Brighton, Bournemouth, Fulham, Southampton.
Worst draw = Coventry away I reckon, a good team in the same league as us who we have played in the last two seasons in cup ties away, losing both.
Coventry away is nailed on.
