Bury, Bolton, Morecambe and others have had financial problems this season - Oxford having cash-flow issues too.

An article today has said that League One Clubs need attendances of 10,000 to be sustainable. A figure Oxford reached twice last season.

So, although there would be a benefit in greater turnover from owning the stadium, the bigger issue is a lack of people at games.

Bit oversimplistic isn't it? Only looking at one half of the ledger.

Accrington are never going to get crowds approaching 10k, but they seem to always be financially OK because they have a tiny budget, and then rely on John Coleman to work miracles......

You see some clubs trying to run sustainably like Accrington and Exeter. Then you get the trainset wannabes who distort an even(ish) competition by throwing away money getting their village team promoted. So tin pot teams with lots of money and a few hundred fans end up in the football league at the expense of clubs that deserve better.
