How inconsistent was he? .... NO yellow cards for any of Lincoln's Maguire -esque shithousery, yet a straight red for Kane for what was, at best, a yellow card foul.
Only remembered he had his yellow card in the 90th minute

Lincoln's last L1 WIN , before today, was refereed by .... Seb Stockbridge

conned throughout the second half by Lincoln's blatant play acting, which Stockbridge could have, but didn't do anything about!

Oxford were poor today ...... Stockbridge far from cost (us) the game, nonetheless,
his handling of the game wasn't all that to say the least, 2 from me , for that ridiculous red card more than anything else!

Sykes is raked down the legs with Maguire’s studs, then reacts and pushes him. Both players should be booked. Neither are.

A Lincoln player flies in two footed in an insane attempt to kill Sykes, who luckily gets out of the way and thus avoids a broken leg. The Lincoln player should be booked. He isn’t.

Maguire blatantly smashes the ball away in anger off the pitch at the adverting hoardings long after the whistle goes after a decision is made against him. He should be booked. He isn’t.

Sykes is clean through and is clearly fouled. Foul not given.

The ref lets tackle after tackle go, culminating in two players flying in going for the ball, and colliding. Kane catches the Lincoln player and maybe should be booked. He’s given a red card somehow.

Oxford cross from the right and the Lincoln defender sticks his arm out, away from his body, and it hits his arm, in the box, from a good distance away. No penalty.

An Oxford player dribbles the ball out from the box and in an attempt to cynically stop the counter attack, Chris Maguire dives in from behind and trips him. He should be given his third yellow card of the match. He isn’t.

Poor, poor refereeing.

missed a handball by lincoln then gave offside when our player played it.

I groaned when I saw he was the Ref and predictably he was rubbish. The sending off is fine if he had booked players earlier and potential red card for their player for the launch through the air at Sykes in the 1st half.

The red card did seem to be a bit of an overreaction compared to all of the earlier decisions he had made. But he was overall just rubbish. No one could have complained had he booked Sykes and Seddon for their pushes, and there were many other questionable decisions that went in Oxford's favour over the game, although some of the more crucial decisions he didn't give probably didn't go our way. Another referee that simply is not good enough to be in charge of a professional football match. Our last 4 refs have been very poor and when Kettle comes out best of the 4 the game must be in a bit of trouble. But there seems to be an acceptance amongst those in charge of football that substandard referees are just a fact of football with no attempt or willingness to improve things.

Don’t know about anyone else but I rate the ref on what he does and doesn’t give both sides not just us.

said it many times over the years, in the past players got away with surrounding officials right in their face the Tv pundits had to look for reasons why something was/wasn't a goal offside free kick or whatever constantly criticising the referee.after the game the Managers did the same but conveniently often missed when their own were calpable.
if that had been nipped in the bud we wouldn't be where we are in the modern game

Maguire definitely should have had 2 yellows. Stonewall 100%, no argument whatsoever. Kick out at Sykes and the trip on Maguane when he was running away with ball. It was deliberate, late and cynical.
As to the sending off, my view from behind the goal was Kane appeared to be running on both feet but the Lincoln player had started going to ground/slide tackle just before any contact was made. With the Lincoln lad sliding in that caused Kane to fall over. So I felt it was booking for Lincoln player. Without a close up view I can't see much to deserve a red.
