It’s a strange dynamic there. Hard to see who’s really calling the shots: Robinson or Giggs.lol he was strutting around again today and chit chatting with Pep almost as if he hadn’t just lost 8-0 to a bunch of kids.

They are both very naughty boys so I hope they are behaving themselves! It’s a strange dynamic there. Hard to see who’s really calling the shots: Robinson or Giggs.
He’s so false.Has a manager ever triggered a section of the fan base so much like KR did and still does?

He's on a downward spiral though. As yellowbow says, having Giggs trying to take over yesterday must have been a bit humiliating for him.I met KR a couple of times. He comes across as very self confident, some might interpret it as a bit of arrogance, but there was no doubt he cared a lot about the club and fans. Shame we had that final season blip as it tarnished some fans view of him, when if you actually look back we were a great team to watch for a long time, regularly in the top 5 scorers across all the English leagues.
He’s had quite a remarkable amount of experience. He’s only 44, but if he stays employed regularly for the next 5 years he could feasibly hit 1000 games in management before he’s 50, which would put him on the brink of entering the top 100 managers of all time for professional games managed.
Des was 5 years younger, but has managed ~600 games less. Crazy really.
there was no doubt he cared a lot about the club and fans.
God I’d forgotten the Fowler saga. A shameful episode.Reminded me of the time when Robinson was desperate to get Robbie Fowler in dugout next himself at OUFC.
Don't forget Sam Allardyce and Ian WrightGod I’d forgotten the Fowler saga. A shameful episode.
There's an interview out there with Simon Jordan and Fowler takes himself very seriously as a head coach but seems to be on a mission to tick off every league going. Except can't see him in ours anytime soon.God I’d forgotten the Fowler saga. A shameful episode.

Shame for who? I don’t recall the supporters being responsible for his antics in the last 12 months of his reign here, whereby he collected a substantial 6 figure salary in the process. Do you?
You reap what you sow.
I met him several times as well. Arrogant, self opinionated, misogynistic and, towards the end of his tenure, completely oblivious to criticism.I met KR a couple of times. He’s certainly had a “glow up”Latest ‘Class of 92’ are now on Sky which covers Robinson joining Salford and following the team with him as manager.
Didn't we get into the L1 play-offs twice?I met him several times as well. Arrogant, self opinionated, misogynistic and, towards the end of his tenure, completely oblivious to criticism.
He was a bully and treated numerous players with contempt. He reduced some players to tears, others left to get away from his tyrannical outbursts.
He succeeded in getting away with this for so long due, in part, to his ability to play the part of "one of the lads" and his luck in achieving a few results on the pitch. In 5 years of his tenure, he achieved nothing in terms of league status.
There are more than a few examples of his character and behaviour. His post match ramblings are of legend.
Didn't we get into the L1 play-offs twice?
If that counts as nothing you could say Wilder got us promoted from the Conference but no further or a play-off. Appleton got us promoted from L2 but no further or a play-off.
Haha we were shite in both sets of playoffs and had mental runs of poor and good form in both seasons. He destroyed the balance of the team, ruined the profitable model Appleton set up, nearly got us relegated.Didn't we get into the L1 play-offs twice?

So two play offs and we failed in each.Didn't we get into the L1 play-offs twice?

Poster 1: "KR failed to achieve a promotion".
Poster 2: "If you disregard their respective promotions, so did Wilder and Appleton".
I do love this place.
Worse. Robinson was never in charge for a relegation. If you disregard everything Jim Smith achieved is he really better than Robinson?

You are making a strong case for a Robinson statue at the new ground.

Because we fired his ass in the nick of time the season he decided to mail it in.......
