General Joey Barton

My sympathy for him is limited as I think he’s got off lightly in other court cases. Throw enough darts at the board and one will bounce out and stab you in the eye (better that than a lit cigar?).

I see Eni Aluko is back in the public eye blaming Barton for her lack of work.

Nothing to do with an unnecessary attack on national treasure and die hard woman's football advocate Ian Wright whilst also being terrible at her job....

Aluko really lacks self awareness. She try’s to play the sexist card and race card a lot but seems totally unaware that neither have anything to do with her not being a very good pundit. There are plenty of excellent female pundits and commentators in the game now. Aluko isn’t one of them.

She probably looks at the number of dreadful male pundits still getting lots of work, and wonders why that is.

The thing with this debate about female pundits/commentators, the Joey Barton fanboys always use Aluko as the case study to prove their point. But if you're going to do that, then you have to compare apples with apples - let's bring Michael Owen and Carlton Palmer to the table.

Michael Owen is a terrible pundit and I have to say that having spoken to him about football on a few different occasions, it isn’t just for the cameras that he has weird/terrible views about players and the game as a whole.

Exactly. Following that logic, Owen is terrible so men shouldn't be pundits

Joey Barton having some sort of entirely self-inflicted meltdown

There's a content creator called Kyrel Prince (who goes by HMRC of football) who does some brilliant/hilarious work debunking stories ex-pros talk about on podcasts. There's one where he looks into Carlton Palmers claim that they "targeted John Terry because he was a weak link" on their way to winning to Rumbelo's cup in 1991.

John Terry was around 11 years old at the time :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Mr Barton needs to learn that if you decide to express your opinion on social media those who do not agree are now "in your space digitally".

Either measure what you say, accept the counter attacks or ditch social media. 🤷‍♂️

We coped perfectly well without it before 1997, for those who might remember Six Degrees and the internet at pence per minute on your landline phone bill.

Certainly kept the riff raff out in those days. :ROFLMAO:

He deliberately winds people up and says libellous things and then gets surprised at the consequences.

Simply a weird bloke with a strange obsession with women's football.

Better troll than he was football manager though.
