Vaulks obviously has a role in the squad still but he will not be a not first choice any more and his attributes are now being shown to be quite limited....

Loving the fact we've are being linked with young talented players and not just on loan the little question I have is where did Erik find his piggy bank

Isn't it nice how the tables are turning we are starting to show some financial muscle

It wasn't him making the decision exclusively in the summer but it pretty much is now.

Thanks, Erick!

That said, so far it has only been 2 loans and one not-quite a loan.

I haven't seen these players but if McDonnell arrives with Konak, Pert-Harris & Donley here & fit I'd say the window's going rather well.
Agree.

It will be going even better though if we start winning games as a result of them positively impacting the team

Bargain bucket! Although we are using it relatively effectively, the way people are speaking you’d think Erik had decided to fully unleash the moths from his transfer chest!
I assume we are using magic beans to pay Brentford and Spurs for Konak and Donley.

Oh don’t get me wrong, we are paying, but it’s percentages. Brum for example are just about to splash 8 million on a striker. The way our fans are going on social media…
Because spending £8m would be very sensible for us.
You've got no idea how much these incomings are costing, they might be 'bargain bucket' if you want to be derisory but I doubt it.

A great example of fans getting excited over any player signing is Tom Bradshaw. Here are just a couple of posts on the first page of his thread when he signed:
I'm on the list! I don't recall saying that!

I do think this is a fair point.

We've made some exciting signings, and some of the potential additions being suggested sound very encouraging too.

But c.f. the business being done elsewhere in the Championship and it's still going to be comparatively cheap in comparison.

That's not a criticism per se - we must live within our means as much as we can and the type of signings we're making sound better to me than brining in players towards the end of their careers - but it's all relative.

I’d rather we look for shrewd signings that are cost-effective rather than spaffing money up the wall because everyone else is, even if it means incurring the wrath of certain posters on Yellows Forum…

Define ' Bargain bucket '
- Any signing that is a loan rather than permanent.
- Any signing that is free rather than the club spending a transfer fee.
- Any player that Kip has not heard of before.
- Any player that Kip decides he won't like.

So what are they actually supposed to do without falling foul of EFL regulations.
No doubt you would be the first to moan if we end up with a points deduction.
Just typical moan for the sake of moaning but no actual constructive solution. The Viv Nicholson approach is just simply not an option in the currently constituited EFL.

Okay then Kip, what do you want to see the club do?

Perhaps we are prepared to break the rules in order to stay up. Or perhaps we sell a player in June/July to balance it back out.

Let's just get ourselves kicked out of the EFL, just so we can play real life football manager and buy any player that Greatunclekip desires.
