Its sad that the same people want to continually talk down every player, even those that they've never seen play.

Newsflash - it's going to be several years before we have a squad of 25+ experienced and established Championship players. Until then we will have to take a gamble, and I'd much rather we do that with highly rated 20 year olds than players coming to the ends of their careers.

I'll openly admit that I don't watch a huge amount of football away from our games, and struggle to remember every aspect of each opposition team. So I know little about Jamie McDonnell and nothing about Jin-Woo Jeon and Yunus Konak. But it doesn't take long to look at stats and see what others are saying about them to get a good impression.

And to me (alongside Jamie Donley and Myles Peart-Harris) looks like a really promising change in direction for our recruitment team, and a sign of real intent from the board.

There are no guarantees, but I'm personally really excited for what we've seen and what's to come.
Not questioning this at all Scotch, just not sure if we need proven Championship+ players to survive, but these acquisitions could be great now, and or future, but hoping it’s the former.

And I’ll be supporting them and wishing them well as it benefits us all.

Go look at the Oxford Mail on tiktok. Interview with Bloomfield and straight up asks him about bringing in midfielders like McDonnell and he just says 'yes' with the biggest grin. Think we know who is next in the door.

A great example of fans getting excited over any player signing is Tom Bradshaw. Here are just a couple of posts on the first page of his thread when he signed:
I’m glad I’m not in there, maybe it was because I was looking for a 20 goal a season striker 😉

Want to shake up the tired old squad? Transfer your allegiances to the You are my Oxford show this January.

We hear from a #chairboys fan and #LTFC fan about what to expect from new OUFC manager Matt Bloomfield. We have a birthday quiz. We ask whether football in the 1980s was any good while wincing at a Gary Briggs tackle. We reveal our transfer targets for 2026. And Theo digs deep into AI with ChatOUFC.

God this is negative af we seem to be going all Man City this window and some are genuinely still moaning 😂

If Donley is out for a while, then now having Konak in the building means Cam or BDK could play as a 10, so will be interesting to see if we can play a two ie Konak and one other with say Romeny/Krastev in the 10 or if we go with the three with Konak sitting and one or the other pushing on and supporting Lanks....even this solidifying makes such a difference on paper, now need it to pay off.
If we get McDonnell that would be the bonus cherry....

Don't forget MPH too. I'd say we're more likely to see him in the 10 than Cam / BDK but you never know

Tbh I was thinking of him playing wide one side.....Mills the other side of Lanks....

Then either Konak in front of the back four and Cam and BDK advance of him....

Or Konak and one other in a two and then the other one(!) or Donley when fit or Tyler in the 10 so three supporting Lanks....

Interesting times....McDonnell would add serious depth and the Korean guy could be a wildcard or a disaster!🤣

Loving the fact we've are being linked with young talented players and not just on loan the little question I have is where did Erik find his piggy bank

Isn't it nice how the tables are turning we are starting to show some financial muscle
