Unless Rowett was forcing Ed’s hand, Waldron is quoted as saying that we’d been tracking Bradshaw for some time. I’m sure Rowett helped it over the line but I’m not sure the signing can be laid at his feet.
I’ve never bought this. What is Ed going to say? “Never heard of the bloke but Gary does my job for me now. Welcome aboard, Tom, I never wanted you here”?

We tried it once last season at Norwich, He gave up a goal within the first five minutes through horrible positioning/tracking.

Anyone who would come out and suggest that Shemmy is a better Wingback than HTA must be on a windup!!

I like Placheta, but he is the definition of a PlayStation footballer, the thought of him further back having to defend more is enough to give me the night terrors, going to be a tough night, so thanks to whoever suggested it.

Assuming that the rumours of Jamie McDonnell and Jin-Woo Jeon are good, we'd need to lose two players with one likely to be a loanee. You would imagine that Bradshaw and Krastev would be the most likely to go if this was the case.

Then I guess it would depend on how Bloomfield is looking to set up, and the state of our injuries. If Goodrham and Donley are going to be out for a while, then you'd maybe look to play Cam in the more advanced midfield role, or bring Peart-Harris more centrally with the new signings in to cover.

That would potentially leave Placheta to be replaced, but I can't see too much more business as it stands - pending Bloomfield assessing the squad and making decisions nearer the end of the window.

Better to replace Dembele surely and he’d have some resale value. But it may not be as straightforward as that of course.

Don’t forget we need to now move on Thorniley and Negru as well again!

I'm not dismissive of him at all. He sounds like a great bloke. But as a Championship-level footballer, he's almost certainly finished.

Let’s be honest if you’re basing it on current Championship level footballers then we have at least ten - Goodrham, Harris, Bradshaw, Placheta, Prelec, Krastev, ter Avest, Leigh, Long, Romeny - who are no longer that, never have been that, never will be that and may as well follow Vaulks out of the door.

Nonsense. Some of them are proven championship players

Gouda Van Nilstelroy?
Ah these remind of our surreal but fantastic 90’s programme segment that was Elton Welsby’s world of cheese!

Nobody’s accused them of being lazy, just having a crap strike rate
I’m still struggling to get the excitement of Jamie McDonnell?

I don’t know him and haven’t seen him play, but his stats aren’t amazing, so could someone please enlighten me?

Yes, he is the right age, so could be a developmental opportunity, but?
