Joe Gelhardt’s name is doing the rounds with half the Championship, mostly teams around us. Rowett took on Cresswell and Shackleton from Leeds at Millwall who were regulars for him so I just wonder…
He’s on a huge wage at Leeds, so it’s doubtful unless they’re happy to subsidise a significant chunk of it.

In my opinion it’s unlikely as they can get a better offer financially elsewhere, and we can get better value elsewhere. Would be a great signing quality wise though.

Just caught up on this thread, so I had better say...

First car was an Orange Mini, 'T' reg, central dial speedometer.

Favourite punctuation mark is the interrobang.

Sam Smith is a maker of overrated bland pop.

I'd never heard of an interrobang until now. Thank you for sharing.

I've learnt something on this forum. At last.

Not the same as full blooded league action, in all those things you can ease yourself in some what.
To be clear, I was never suggesting that playing in pre-season friendlies, under-21 games and first team training is the same as competitive league action. I know that it’s not.

My point was that there’s a huge difference between taking a full part in all three of those things, as Atkinson seems to have, but just not featuring in the league (but being on the bench) and literally ‘not kicking a ball for two years’ which for me is when a player is so badly injured that they’re not even ‘out on the grass’ - that does. happen, and it’s much more of a risk than a player in Rob Atkinson’s situation.

Anyway, he’s played in a league match now.
