Roofe hasn't even been in training since last May, let alone playing. Plus in the 2 previous seasons he played about 20 games and scored all of 3 goals. Low risk maybe, but low likelihood of success.
He'd basically be a club ambassador. Might as well sign Aldridge.

I know but seems extremely quiet still, you normally get the standard deadline day nonsense rumours.

I don’t think we need anyone to leave to hit 25 including Thorniley and Nelson. Don’t think Rowett wants to have a squad of 28 though including Mills, Goodrham and Marselino.

Would expect Dale to go and possibly Thorniley if they’re confident on Nelson.

No one has to leave and we will still be able to register every player.

We have met our squad allocation with 25 eligible players and 3 who are 21 or younger (Tyler, Stan and Lino) so no one has to leave.

But Rowett has made it clear that opportunities will be limited for those looking to stay. Looks like Dale might be the only one getting any interest at the moment, but I wouldn't be massively surprised if we have no movement in or out.
