He did some good things last season but also struggled at times, especially with Stevens at right back as they were both lacking experience. Worth a punt as he doesn't take up a squad place this season, not sure about next? I hope he's fully recovered from his horrific injury and is able to contribute this season.

Last season, I think he suffered from having to play when he needed a break. Think it was the Derby home game when we got ahead and then they came back to win when we were out on our feet. He looked knackered from the start and seemed only to play in short spells in that game.

He did about Jay Matete, the signing that was a complete failure and nearly cost us our promotion so I am happy with Kips sarcasm on any signing, most of what Mystic Kip says works the other way round (Charlton etc).

Most people were fairly optimistic about Matete, to be fair. Weird how badly that one went!

Was very raw last year and I found his decision making a bit frustrating at times, but he’s in the right place to develop and will hopefully be a real asset to the club.

Just disappointed I was fast asleep in bed when he landed!

I think the key will be whether Mills has recovered his pace and confidence after such a bad injury. I suspect he will only be a bit part player this season and develop fully next year.

Welcome back Stan. I am so pleased with this signing being a permanent deal. He was without doubt my young player of the season last season until his injury. Despite being an Everton player, he played as if he was ours, as if he’d been Oxford his whole life. Buzzing.

I'm excited to see Mills develop and push for a place this season. My main concern is the injury record. I believe this is now his second major knee injury which has keep him out for a year? Bit worrying considering he's only 21 but hopefully he's come back stronger

Brighton have signed Eiran Cashin from Derby for £9 million... If anyone wants Brown, they're going to have to cough the f**k up. I know Brown's older, so won't have as much value in potential future sales for the buying club, but he's still only just turned 27, which for a CB is really coming into his prime. As left-sided CBs are harder to find, he will command one hell of a pretty penny.

Interesting thinking about the signings we have brought in, many so far are from the Indonesia connection or were previous targets or, with stan, were with us before. From an outside view it looks like only Bradshaw could be called a Rowett signing.

Squad looking strong and I'll stick with my original prediction of a finish of anywhere between 13-18th. Could even be higher, but expecting a tough run of results at some point.
