Or being played out wide on occasion doesn’t mean you’re a square peg in a round hole when playing up front.

Harris, for example, is quite obviously best as a striker. He’s not perfect by any means, but played as a striker throughout his youth and was only shoved out wide at Cardiff because he was a relatively quick academy graduate who couldn’t displace the senior strikers, but for some reason this is enough for some to think he came out of the womb as a winger.

Completely agree, he can get found out at times when he doesn't have someone quick enough to cover him as his partner, but as one of 2 starting centre backs, he is absolutely Championship standard

Exactly. The game has moved on from players only operating in one role. Players are expected to be more adaptable on the modern game.

Watching the highlights of Romeny, particularly his instinct in the box suggests to me that his attributes are best suited as a centre forward.

We'll see. I'm sure the recruitment team know what they're doing.

Made me laugh . It’s hard to believe there are really so many experts on obscure Dutch players.

Seems to be some crazy talk about getting rid of Moore and Brown, two of our very best players. Eventually we will move on and sign better if we manage to stay in this league, but at this point I’d say they’re pretty essential squad members.
