Today Ole Romeny did his Oath-taking process and officially become Indonesian Citizen.

I am not familiar with EFL rules for foreign player, is it will affect the quota ? I am still learning about Homegrown Player Rules, GBE rules.

Said they wouldn’t be surprised to see us make a summer move for Jaïro Riedewald, ex Crystal Palace.

Quality holding midfielder

Three full Dutch caps, albeit 10 years ago (when aged only 18!).

A couple of full seasons with each of Ajax Amsterdam and Palace.

Great pedigree!

Has recently expressed an interest in playing for Indonesia...

He already expressed his interest few years ago, but no actions at that time.

After Patrick Kluivert appointed as New Indonesian Head Coach, he talked about his interest to use Riedewald. Now still in completing all documents that needed for naturalization, expected to have Oath ceremony very soon after Ole Romeny's progress.

Kluivert's interview about Riedewald :

I hope Helik does turn out to be a good addition to the squad but thus far with the needless foul against against Bristol which led to an equlising goal and the own goal against Burnley, he has cost us 4 points in just 2 games.
Might want to look at Sam Long & placheta before you blame him for Burnley, if one of them close down foster and get tighter and one follows the run the it don’t happen.

Also that ‘foul’ for the Bristol goal was:

1. Not a foul

2. Poor defending from a set piece to not close down Sykes on the edge of the box.

Don't think he's able to, all three of his Netherlands caps came in competitive matches during Euro 2016 qualifying
I'd agree, but there must be some kind of rule that allows it otherwise I don't understand why it's being discussed.

Done some reading and I think this confirms that he could transfer to play for Indonesia.

In 2021, FIFA published a new set of rules, updating the rules for changes of nationalities. While previously, players were able to switch only if they had appeared in friendly fixture(s) for the first nation, with the growing trend of competitive fixtures such as the Nations League replacing many friendly fixtures, the change was made. Under the new regulations, players can switch national teams, even if they have played in an official competition for the first nation (unless the match was in the tournament phases of the World Cup or a continental competition), provided they played in three or fewer competitive matches and the appearance(s) occurred before the player turned 21. These changes were intended to prevent the 'stockpiling' of players.

And even if the view is maintained that these moments cost us, his aggregate is at zero over his time here, based on the goal scored against Luton and the way he preoccupied two defenders to the point of sheer madness, allowing Greg Leigh to score.
I've seen this mentioned a few times and it smacks a little of trying too hard to find a positive, like Hoban's assist for Roofe or Harris' pressing. I'm not sure he did anything special, it was just rank bad marking by Luton. Not a criticism of Helik but he basically just stood in the box as they all did and in some places he seems to have been given as much credit as Leigh who actually scored it and Vaulks who picked him out.

Perhaps controversial on here but I'm not sure he's better than Moore, certainly not by much of a margin at any rate. He has more goal threat for sure but he doesn't look anywhere near as composed in possession.
