You say that but the number who still misspell Brannagan is amazing..

They were a bit harsh on the Dub, saying he made 2/14 passes.

That was better than Mills (1/11) and the same as Spencer (2/9).

We didn't have a lot of possession (82 accurate passes to their 489), but we still absolutely had the best chances.

For balance McDonnell won 4/4 headed duels (only bettered by Vestergaard) and made 3 tackles (as many as anyone on the pitch bar our wingbacks), as well as a number of other defensive contributions.

I'd like to see how he gets on in a 4-3-3.

The thing with amount of passes made and the completion rate of them is if you play 5 yard sideways passes in your own half loads of times it gets the numbers up and looks good but it can get you absolutely nowhere. Xavi and Iniesta could kill teams with a thousand passes, not many championship players are good enough to do it.

We were play Leicester who got one of the great top flight title wins by doing the opposite of that and hitting teams on the counter.

Don’t get me started on Jamie Cummings.

That one really pisses me off for no good reason.

“Jamie McDonnell had a farm, E-I-E-I-O”

Fill in the rest as required

Jamie McDonnell had a farm, E-I-E-I-O
And on that farm there was a fox, E-I-E-I-O
With Long's shot here,
And Sparky's shot there,
Here's a goal, there's a goal,
Fox is hiding in it's hole,
Jamie McDonnell had a farm, E-I-E-I-O

How about:

Young McDonnell’s Minchery Farm, E-I-E-I-O
And on that farm he was an ox, E-I-E-I-O

J McDonnell had a farm eieio
And on that farm he had some pigs
Eieio

This is the retro version for The London Road days. I obviously do not approve.

a few tweaks , like Jamie Mac(k) instead of Jimmy Mack, and reword to he gonna tackle back instead of when are you coming back , and maybe the chorus of the old Martha and The Vandellas Motown standard would fit the bill as a song for Jamie Mac'?

( as its cold out today, ... Ive already got my coat!)

You might be a good DJ, promoter and musical entrepreneur mate but I reckon lyricist might be where the talent stops mate 😉.
