Cumming and Sparky are our two most important players right now. Lose a defender, plenty of cover. Lose BDK, decent cover. Lose a winger, some cover. And with all of these you can tweak a formation.

It's hardly surprising that we're looking to give everyone minutes in the first couple of games before building towards a more expected starting XI in the next two games.

Every season people try to read too much into team selection in these early games when they're little more than training games.

It's almost like some people here have never played Football Manager.

I never learnt anything about apostrophes or the like at school, to busy learning about the exciting French town of La Rochelle, watching elderly nudists play volleyball on VHS etc, none of which has come in particularly handy.

I remember reading a school book once in which the word “apostrophe’s” was used. Near blew my mind, that.
