Pretty pointless getting in a loan if we know by November that he won't be staying beyond January. It's not worth building him into the team because by the the time he's integrated and we've planned with him, he's off and we have to start again.

In that case then what was the point of loaning out Currie?

Nelson back to Leicester/off on loan elsewhere and Currie and Negru back in January maybe?
Negru for Nelson would be a hell of a downgrade, not even close to the same level.

Why are we talking about him being recalled, have I missed something? He's settled and playing every week now, not sure what benefit there would be bringing him back and sending him to another team in the same league where he has to force his way into the side again.

Maybe Leicester will get a better offer, a club higher up willing to pay more, not like it doesn’t happen.

We loaned out Jack Currie because we needed to manage squad numbers and couldn't move on Thorniley or Leigh. Unfortunately, the following day, Bennett got ruled out for 4 months.

That's the gamble with a newly formed squad and trying to find our feet in this league. But at the time the loanee was needed for all parties.

Also, I can't see Negru being kept out of a cup match because he's planning in returning to us. But it potentially gives more options for us if we're looking to move him further up the pyramid in January.

As a club we have to be ruthless. If there are any takers (& I suspect there will be) he needs to be recalled in January and loaned out to a League 1 Club. He’s an OUFC asset, plus it will benefit Negru as a player and his future.

If you can get a player of Nelsons calibre for this league, or Beadle's in League One, 6 months is very worthwhile, without Beadles efforts in the first half of the year last season, we dont get as many points as we do overall, and miss the playoffs.

Don't really see any correlation between Currie not being cup tied/being recalled and Nelson being recalled by Liecester.

I think Currie will be recalled in January if we can ship Leigh out and as others have said wouldn't surprise me to see him become first choice LB. I think Bennett will take a while to get back up to speed given his age & injury.

I don’t think it’s by choice, I assume if that’s the scenario Nelson will be off because Leicester have found something better for him.
Leicester will have him in their first team squad - look at their fans website - there is a clamour for him to come back (unfortunately for us).
