I would take the risk on Jack and start him Tuesday. I know he's 50/50, and tbf Brodie has done a decent job, but not having a natural left footer there seriously hinders us.
Nice of you to take the risk on a player's fitness and running the risk of potentially extending his recovery...I would take the risk on Jack and start him Tuesday. I know he's 50/50, and tbf Brodie has done a decent job, but not having a natural left footer there seriously hinders us.

Well hopefully the medical team will have the final say, and take the longer term view.Jack is putting himself forward to play.
You have to assume that when people say they would take a risk on an injured player, that they have never taken a day off work due to sickness before as they would just work through what ever they had.Nice of you to take the risk on a player's fitness and running the risk of potentially extending his recovery...
I actually think Brodie Spencer was one of our best players yesterday, and has done well at left back. No need to risk Currie unless Spencer gets injured, I think.
That's a fair point. Wonder if it's time to give Emakhu a go?The problem is that he is very right footed, as is MPH, we have no natural width down that side with both of them there.

But many a time we lose momentum because he cannot kick the ball with his left foot. Happened a few times yesterday.I actually think Brodie Spencer was one of our best players yesterday, and has done well at left back. No need to risk Currie unless Spencer gets injured, I think.
What a poor option! That's a fair point. Wonder if it's time to give Emakhu a go?
The worst case scenario is clearly worse than you think, otherwise he'd be involvedLet's think about the longer term view.
Currently, we're in a relegation fight with 3 games to go. 2 of which are at home. We have a key player who improves the balance of the team massively. The player is carrying an injury but says he can play. Management say he can play, but aren't choosing him incase he has to come off injured. Their rationale is that we then have to waste a sub.
The player plays and makes a positive impact. The player plays and comes off injured and he's out for the season. If he makes a positive impact he still has his scheduled operation in the Summer.
If he comes off injured he still has the scheduled operation and takes long off during the Summer to rehabilitate.
There's also the scenario where he doesn't play, gets the operation and leaves. Or he gets the operation and stays. Or we play him and his injury gets worse and we ruin an asset.
There's lots of scenarios. Lots of what ifs. Lots of potential outcomes. If Jack is putting himself forward I would start him on Tuesday. If we're all but mathematically down by Saturday then I'd give Jack the remaining 2 games off and start Brodie.
Let's face it -players aren't always the best judges of their fitness - they would all play on one leg if that were possible!
Or Ter AvestUnless you’re BDK.

There are also some, such as David Langan, who are now paying for doing that later in life. If Currie is cleared by the medical team then great, but I'd be very reluctant to take a chance on any player's fitness and wellbeing otherwise.Joe Skarz played through a ruptured groin to win us promotion. There's a long list of players within our club and elsewhere who have played through injury to fight to the end. Sometimes it pays off, sometimes it doesn't. If the player is willing, and a player as big as Currie, play him.
He did indeed. Important to remember that this affects not only their career in future but also their lives post-game too.Didn't Skarz also say that he never recovered from playing with the injury and it affected the rest of his career as well ?
Looks good, I'll have to give it a goOpposite the London Road entrance to the Manor, they should probably mention that in the ad, seeing how fitting it is.
