Ireland in Pre-Season

Would imagine this must be close to being confirmed by the club now. Heard that we'll be playing 3 games against teams from 3 of the Irish league to give a range of tests

Hopefully the club will announce soon so we can make plans

I checked on Charlton's website ref their pre-season in Ireland 17/18. Interesting.

ROI is as mentioned ridiculous price wise for a pint etc, better off doing Scotland again!

Oxford United are pleased to confirm that this summer’s pre-season tour will be heading for Ireland.
Over the last few years United have been to Austria, Spain and Portugal and hundreds of fans have come along to join the Yellow Army on tour.
This season Karl Robinson’s new look squad will be flying out to the Republic of Ireland for an intensive training camp that will include three games; two in and around Dublin and one around 90 minutes from the capital.
The dates for the diary are the three match dates:
Monday 9th July
Tuesday 10th July
Wednesday 11th July

All three games will be evening kick-offs and full details of the opposition will be announced soon, once formalities are completed.

Those tempted, fly out on the 8th to Dublin, fly back on the 12th is £34 return (basic fare) from Birmingham with Ryanair.

Dundalk is 1hr 20mins away from Dublin. A visit to see the Hobanator perhaps?

Would have considered this had I not already booked a summer holiday. Ah well - I'll have to enjoy smoke some crack elsewhere (that's what the Irish do, don't they?).

If it was somewhere a bit more unusual I'd go, but Dublin? Been there, done that, wasn't impressed...at all!
