Slightly eccentric choice of fixtures there, Carpy!

There's World Cup qualifiers going on in Africa, North & Central America and Asia that are a mite more important than the friendly between Malta and Belarus' U19s!
Do you know what, I didn't even bother checking! Have now removed the younger age groups haha

What are Wales now, average league 1 standard? Sparky must be really frustrated not to get a start

Well, their team is made up of solid (if lower end) Premier League players with a smattering of decent Championship players (as reflected by Harris, the next rung down, on the bench).

So 'average League One' would be a bit harsh. Probably decent Championship (just up against a top Premier League side tonight).

Wales' front four consist of:

A guy who plays every game for Fulham
A guy who plays every game for Spurs
A guy who plays every game for Bournemouth
The guy who leads the line for Wrexham

Not exactly world beating, but certainly better than League One standard and no chance that Sparky gets in, in front of any of those.

Nah, we might just have to admit that England might actually have a pretty good team at the minute........

Tuchel has done well so far.
Playing youngsters and backing them when they have done well.
Anderson, Rogers, Spencer have all done really well.
I assume that Bellingham will get back in, but Palmer, Foden and Grealish may struggle.
Agree that England look a good team

Wales subs were league one players, when you look at the players not in this England squad it shows the gap in quality.

Useful run out but not much more.

Can’t see Wales going to the World Cup but Scotland have a chance.

Oooh, getting humped 4-0 by the Faroe Islands has got to hurt.

Gibraltar are in a group with the Faroe Islands, a Montenegro team who lost 4-0 to the Faroe Islands and our still losing every game by an average of 3 goals, a worthy addition to international football (oh and there under 21s lost 12 nil to Scotland under 21s last night, so a bright future ahead). Croatia and Czech Republic have to play six games each against that standard of opposition, which is pointless.

Some other confederations have a pre qualifying groups for the lower ranked teams in the region, time UEFA did the same, then the better nations would only be in 4 team groups where more of the matches matter.

Yeah, but it really annoys the Spanish politicians who want to absorb Gibraltar into Spain, so I'm all for it...

This is where the Nations League has been really useful, putting countries of similar standard together. They got three draws there in the last round. It would do them no good to have their only non-friendly games as World Cup or Euro qualifiers where they get pumped every week. But I'm sure it's a big draw for their players to face up against the world's best from time to time...sure it makes them proud of their country.

Northern Ireland have been excellent, must be in with a shot of qualifying

Spencer on!!!

Totally agree. Best match I’ve watched for ages in terms of passionate but hardly star name players putting everything into each tackle and press. They’ve a young team with a real togetherness, despite the Slovaks playing dirty Norn Iron deserve to be 3 or 4 up.

9/10 performance for his 10mins

They will probably get to the playoff (either by finishing second in the group, or by virtue of having won their Nations League group). Then it's luck of the draw as to who ends up in your section......but roughly a 1 in 4 shot.

To win their group and qualify directly, they'll probably have to beat Germany on Monday.
