General International Break September 26

I see there is a two week international break this Autumn (as opposed to 2 1-week breaks). It looks like we still have 3+ internationals that are likely to be called up. Are we expecting the Doncaster (A) and Stockport (H) fixtures to be postponed?

It looks likely that Spencer, Brown and McDonnell will be called up for NI whilst Andrews and Harris will be called up for Wales. That's half of our outfield team from yesterday, so I'd expect to see those two games postponed

I suspect we'll just send a younger squad if we can still meet the selection requirements.
Don't want another game to rearrange and there would be a timing element with that one.

Not a surprise at all .
The EFL are culpable and incompetent.
It’s high time League 1 adopts the same policy as the Pl and Championship- with no games scheduled during the international break .
Both Easter games unlikely to take place- resulting in financial loss ( no Good Friday game )for us and many others .
It’s also time the EFL trophy ( Pizza ??) is discontinued.
We are facing a huge backlog of games and much extended disruption to training schedules as a result .
The club also needs to be more proactive with fixture schedules- ( I.e. no Reading game tomorrow 8th Sept)

5 games into the new season and been to Grenoble rd once!
Back to back home games and then 4 and a half weeks until the next visit.
Going to be playing Saturday Tuesday for the whole of March and April by look of it!

Not as bad as (or as good) as in 1955 when due to Headington United playing 10 FA Cup ties (going out to Bolton in the 4th round after four preliminary round games and two replays) and 8 Southern League Cup ties (which they won) they played games for one week on Saturday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. They followed that by playing a two further weeks using the same schedule, minus the the Fridays. Imagine a modern day Premier League manager trying to cope with this?

As a fan, you're using your annual leave on those 3 weeks, surely? Who need a trip to the med when you've essentially got a match every other day for 3 weeks?

Not certain they got 3 weeks holiday back then, plus a lot of places shut down at a specified time ie 2 weeks in August and a few days at Xmas, the factory was like that into the 90s when I was a kid as my dad and grandad worked there and we always holidayed the same two weeks.

Professional sport took off due to working regulations in factories actually, that's why games were played when they were, half day work on a Saturday.

Just six League games across the first two months of the season (with lighter, better conditions) when the likes of January has six scheduled in one (winter) month already - before anything else inevitably gets added.

Bearing in mind that Peterborough away in November will go, as will Orient home and Blackpool away in March - that's a lot of extra rescheduling when we already only have one free midweek before the 8th December.

If we get to the 3rd round of the FA Cup that is Wimbledon home moved too.

That would, before any further postponements for weather (or any more Thursday night nonsense - as per Mansfield away), take us to 16 of 46 League games being played in the evening, midweek, on a school night.

How on earth can this be allowed? Who is looking out for the supporters?

Be surprise if Leigh is called up having not played since January. He dropped out of the Jamaica squad for their world cup playoffs.
