What has the pitch played like so far Leysboy?

If we can get Jaiswal out soon, I can see us winning this test match.

The ball has been turning a lot, the pitch is full of cracks, and they are opening up.

There are runs out there, if you bat patiently. Put away the bad ball etc, but it difficult if youโ€™re new at the crease. Once you get in it gets easier I reckon.

Extraordinary.

Bowled nicely today. Very bright prospect. Itโ€™s like buses. Weโ€™ve waited for ages for some serious spinner to breakthrough since Graeme Swann retired. Now we have four Leach,Bashir,Ahmed, and Hartley. With a bit of Root if needed.

Not kept tabs on Parkinson in County Cricket, but that could also be an option.

The coin toss was vital here.

The pitch is deteriorating all the time. We need to go back out and bat sensibly. So much time left in the game.

We cannot afford to squander such an opportunity.
Just to play Devils/Bazballsโ€™s advocate here for a minute, England going in and gently nurdling the odd single and blocking everything might not be the best approach. This pitch seems like there might be a ball with your name on it and so, given that scores are likely to be low anyway, going in and smashing a few 4s and 6s might not be the worst idea, put pressure on India

Agreed, or swing at everything get out cheaply, and set a moderate total.

Crawley and Duckett will be aggressive anyway, thatโ€™s their natural game.

Last 6 overs one final push from the bowlers. Another great day for England.

Stumps

India 319/7 Kuldeep and Jural offering some resistance, and have both done well to remain there at the end.

England have been brilliant today, unfortunate not to get Jaiswal earlier, when the ball did t quite carry to the fielder. Bashir 31 overs bowled today, and taking 4 crucial wickets. I thought he was superb.

I really enjoyed that today, from the moment Root and Robinson took to the field this morning. Great day for England. Hopefully we can skittle out the tail quickly tomorrow, and then focus on setting India a big target.

319/7 Thought I watched the whole days play, guess I must have missed 100 Indian runs ๐Ÿ˜‚

Extraordinary.

Sadly with the positioning of County Championship games in the calender now, this will happen more and more for spinners. They'll have to learn in Test cricket or play 1st class cricket overseas.

This one is done. Way too much for England to do and way too much batting talent for India th throw this one away.

Itโ€™ll be one for the ages if England can win this. All done by the time the alarm goes at 6am tomorrow.

It all looked so promising, but we should have known better. We have a habit of these collapses, and itโ€™s been going on for years. Shame!
