Fancy having a bias against 1,000 people a week arriving illegally in the UK.

People who have no documentation and are coached in how to claim "asylum" and then "disappear" into the black/grey economy.

Your bias that they are "all good humans" is equally obvious.

How do you know they were just being awkward? You don't know what other flights are coming in. You don't know if training for receiving international passengers is different for receiving EU passengers. You don't know the average numbers of EU v International passengers.

I don’t know. But the airport will know. And if they don’t they are incompetent.

So it is absolutely back at Europe.
 
Can`t say we have had any entry/exit issues since we left the EU.

This year they had the new machines fingerprint scan, then scan passport.... doddle.

As we left the same machines had temporarily failed so the border police went back to stamping your passport.

Left our hotel in GC at 7.30pm and home & in bed by 2.30am....... proper slick all the way through.

For the sake of the people of Bicester, let's hope the 1200 men to be housed nearby are all good humans.
 
In Italy they just open the scanner gates for UK passport holders if the queues are smaller. They just seem to use common sense.

Might take some time but the other EU countries will probably also engage their brains at some point too. Unless we all get our fingers scanned and then it'll just work itself out.
 
Not sure if this has been covered or not but with Labour now closing hotels to immigration and placing the immigrants in former military barracks. How many of the opponents to the idea of this in their area where they live were all for allowing immigrants to arrive?
They have to go somewhere so why not former military camps?

Military camps are good enough for British people who want to fight for the country, but apparently not good enough for people who illegally break into the country. Absolute madness.

I live in Bicester and I broadly agree with using former military camps, even if this is local to me.

My concerns are more about the infrastructure on these camps, specifically medical care, as there isn't capacity within existing GP surgeries.

If they can manage day to day healthcare services in house like a prison would, and there are restrictions/curfews on when are where they go, then it would be better than hotels.

However, we really need to process people quicker and deport those who's claims are unsuccessful. There has been significant improvements in both, but a lot more work needed.

I know these idiots don't do critical thinking but a couple of points.

Bicester and Oxford are two different places. An organisation in one, opposing something in the other is stretching Nimbyism a little.

Also you can welcome refugees but also oppose them being held in disused and isolated military camps without necessary facilities. This isn't hypocrisy. In fact, it makes sense for those who are concerned about the welfare of asylum seekers to question whether these camps are appropriate.

Concerns about far right protesters is not unreasonable. Many of these protests up and down the country have attracted a far-right rent-a-mob and the same from Antifa, and worse of all, hundreds of c*nts-with-cameras (auditors). These are all about competing against each other from monetise social media accounts, and has little to do with the genuine concerns of locals (which I fully support regardless of which side they're on).

And finally, "super posh Bicester"??!! 🤣🤣🤣

As for "disused and isolated camps" its about the best place for them......... with armed guards to keep them in.

Don`t like the facilities? Tough. :)

Obviously got out at the station, walked around Bicester Village, then left. Not even a visit to Wimpey, or a cheeky half at the boutique White Hart pub after admiring the architecture on the boarded up units in Sheep Street.

The visa holders that have to pay £1035/person/year NHS charge on top of any taxes they pay (£776 per year for students, dependants, Youth Mobility Scheme visa holders, and children under 18)?

This particular "asylum seeker" is a criminal. That is not "logic" its reality.

Jailed for 5 years in France.

Made a fortune by people smuggling.

And we let him in to "claim asylum"......................
