This would be a total FoSB wet-dream but hypothetically if the unthinkable were to happen, we fail in our bid for the new stadium and the club collapses what would happen? Is it all over? Are there any other options apart from a hugely expensive legal fight?
Would we reform and start in the Hellenic League, and ground-share?
Is anyone contemplating this (apart from the North Oxford wankerati?)

Madness!!!!

why reform? Are the owners walking away from the championship and millions - nope

They will have a fall back but undercover so the council doesn't know. Our owners aren't Muppets but skilled business people

Probably best not to speculate like that, for obvious reasons…

AFC OxfordUnited would be born and play their home games at Stratfield Brake in front of a few dozen fans, increasing rapidly to hundreds and then thousands as we climb the leagues, eventually resulting in the need for a 18500 all seated, environmentally friendly stadium with excellent transport links.

alas, the only place that comes to mind when you say such things is a protected wildlife nature reserve and sanctuary for the elusive doggus muckus and rare rubberus tyreus to give them their scientific names, im not sure if it'd be available

Would forming a phoenix club or all switching support to Oxford City be a better option?
personally id go be a plastic glory supporter an follow Oxford university, they did have that fa cup win back when dinosaurs roamed around

If the worst were to happen could we ask for special dispensation from the FA? TW did say there was no other option but I’m being accused of madness for daring to ask what we would do next following planning refusal.

Oxford United as a competitive league club will cease to exist. We will have to look at ground sharing which will kill the fanbase and finances of the club.

Of course there could still be an Oxford United, but those of us who lived the conference years knows just how close we came to losing this club forever, and that was with a home ground.

It simply doesn't bare thinking about to not get planning.

Depends on the owners really, if they decide that’s that for them then we have a football club that will soon be homeless in a county that won’t let it build a stadium to play in, can’t see buyers queuing up. Maybe they would hang about while seeing what the next move could be?

I have reviewed a lot of documentation and I would put our chances of success at 70%. I would put our chances of winning an appeal at 40-50%. Therefore I believe we’re looking at a 15-18% chance of not having a home in a few years.

Unlikely, but not impossible. I don’t believe the club have no options by the way, a solution will be found, but it would effectively stuff us for a good while.

I think you’re wrong.

Oxford United will not live on.

Some phoenix club might start, but not Oxford United FC.
