Matches Hull ticket details announced

And I think the club should have considered fans on here, my god have we been through the ringer on here, I mean, have they had to deal with Scotchegg (I mean Niall) on a daily basis?

Only joking Scotchegg (I mean Niall)!!

This takes me back to the first few months of the present owner and the previous owner! Moan moan moan!

I got a ticket.....we may get spanked.....we may not.....footballs a funny old game

From OWS:

"We ask all supporters attending the game to remember that this is a trial game and to follow all protocols. Provided that happens we are confident we can raise the number of tickets available for subsequent games."

So for those who are going (and I include myself), please be sensible, do as instructed and don't f**k it up for yourselves and others for future games.

There are plenty out there who are quite able to screw up the easing of restrictions without our help.

Didn’t get a ticket, have followed the club for 120 years man and boy yada yada .. and the application process was clunky to say the least.

But happy to cut the club some slack, there’s a pandemic on.

Many others aren’t holding that view clearly. I’d say the weekend game has unleashed some .. er frustrations.
You old bastard

It was a stupid idea, ballot would of been much better even with me managing to get a ticket thanks to my missus (forgot how those sites are useless with a mobile if your signal isn’t brilliant, I just timed out every time)

Split season ticket holders into two groups and rotate the games, any spares ballot among the season ticket holders who are not going that week (and then take the lucky ones out for the next ballot. People will have to show a bit of flexibility some weeks with where they sit but as long as that’s rotated a bit I can’t see the problem.

Today was a balls up but it was a novel situation for the club, it’s the rest of the season that really matters.

One thousand tickets all went to season ticket holders, did it really matter who?

I did manage to get a ticket for myself and grandson Jack, but it was a bit of an ordeal trying to do it on an iPad.
I was just about to give up and it worked, looking forward to it now. 😊

They didn't comply with the rules in September though? Didn't the rules in September state you can meet up to six people outside and be socially distanced, which is the same as now? The one metre apart thing has been constant since March so I don't see what the point of doing the survey was in September?

How have they been doing this in Germany? Perhaps @Berliner can shed some light?

No "bubble" rule was in effect here before stadiums were unilaterally closed at the start of November.

Before that the numbers in stadiums differed depending on local regulations and infection rates. Berlin had 5.000 max. Bayern haven't had fans in at all, and everything in between. The distancing thing is strictly enforced, helped by the fact that terracing is still widespread...Union had dots on the ground where you had to stand. Anyone in the same household could stand together. Was still some images across Germany of some big, howling, hugging celebrations after a goal, but as I keep saying, no stadium reported infections, hotspots or breakouts.

No current plan for getting back into the stadium, the numbers aren't coming down fast enough. Probably end of January?

Why do people keep saying it was 1 in 4 chance. As I understand it, we have 3750 ish ST holders, plus a number of them may not have been able to go/want to attend fir various reasons. Add to that others may not even have tried or been able to e.g. work etc. Additionally, a number of people within bubbles may have been tying to get tickets e.g. my son and I trying for over an hour and these percentages reduce further.

It’s just the utter contempt the way the club have treated fans who have renewed their ST’s (buying in access of £500each), didn’t accept the refund for last season, didn’t accept the refund for the Wycombe game, have been ST Holders for over 25 years in my case 40 years (even during the shite times - Conference etc), attended social events to bring in extra revenue etc.

I would have rather that did a ballot using some of the above criteria for prioritisation.

The club have seriously pissed off a number of fans using this approach and that’s after the shambolics of Saturday’s defeat and the season as a whole.

If this club can f**k things up they’d certainly be top of the league for that ala Leyton Orient, fax gate etc

Niall get your head out of your a**e and listen without sounding patronising for a change or taking us for granted otherwise the club could be in a more difficult position than the one we’re currently in next summer if you continue treating us with contempt.
How exactly is this 'utter contempt'? It was made pretty clear that forfeiting that money was unconditional and would go towards supporting the club in a time when it would be financially stricken - a situation everyone who forfeited that money said at the time they were happy with, were proud to be supporting the club etc. It rings a bit hollow if you now try to claim you were foregoing it so that you would get priority access to future match tickets.

A ballot system would still have left 'more deserving' people (a group which I suspect by your definition includes you) without tickets, which would have left just as many people on here howling about 'unfairness'. Also, the price of your ST doesn't inherently measure your 'loyalty' as a fan. When times are normal, you pay more for a superior product (better view of the pitch than, say, the East, better facilities). It's not like you're paying more just because you're the 'better' fan, and should be treated as such (although that is possibly a potential 'type' of season ticket that could be sold going forward - like a preference share) - the price simply reflects the quality of the thing you are buying.

For all this talk of 'contempt for the fans', once people have calmed down a bit after Saturday, they'll acknowledge the club has generally been pretty damn good during this pandemic at keeping fans engaged. The 'Bits You Missed' videos, the virtual programmes, the good range of merchandise for this season, the transparency in communications, the new podcasts, I think it's all been pretty impressive.

Nobody's pleased with how things are going on the pitch but that shouldn't bleed into attacking how the club is negotiating dealing with such a difficult and unprecedented situation off the pitch.

I didn't have a problem with the 'fastest draw' approach as a one off, I had a problem with an IT system that couldn't support such an approach.
