Very strange performance from Cam last night especially the 2 identical uncontested short passes to Spencer that went about 5 yards behind him!

I caught another one of Cams risky back passes across the back line last night. Sent shivers down my spine when it was intercepted.

Wasn't just Brannagan, Long, McDonnell, Brown, Goodrham, Currie all had short passes go to their players in bad positions for us. I get they are league one players so it will happen occasionally but it happened a lot last night, was like we had a new team out there finding its feet, yet we had only one new player on for half an hour, its our 4th game of the season and every player had a full pre season. Not certain the players are completely comfortable with what Ramsey is asking them to do, it probably needs tweaking for the level he is working at.

McDonnell did well last night and his substitution opened up the pitch for the just about ok opposition to break on us. Poor decision Ramsey.

If Terriers are top we haven’t got much to fear. But on other hand Harris - or ‘Tier 6’ as he’s becoming better known , as the spearhead isn’t going to win many/any games for us.

Youngsters a bright spark. GOD the goal. Missanga just ghosts past defenders when in possession; not many have that ability; while Snowden did well for our equalizer.

Long moves the ball well from the back but ultimately he isn’t quite quick enough or big enough,

Overall team lacks pace. Tyler has lost a lot of snap. Brannagan is getting older, and Dembele cannot knock the skin off a rice pudding. Emakhu a big miss tonight.

Eastwood ok though.

Accu a great ground . The quality gap between l1 and Champ v significant though..

I don’t see us being in trouble but we haven’t got enough quality to see us into top 8.

I certainly wouldn't class myself as knowing much about tactics but last night's substitutions had me baffled. Spencer was having a good game, Missanga was tearing them apart. GOD has an eye for goal at the moment, so why not start him.

Missanga was absolutely shattered. Could barely move after his last winding run.

I've seen enough over three games to suggest we can tread water till January quite comfortably. I've also seen bits of absolute calamity that make me nervous.

We played some lovely stuff at times last night and had threat through Dembele and Missanga, though Dembele remains absolutely infuriating.

But we were also incredibly careless in possession through just being casual. Eastwood ball at feet is heart attack territory.

The difference in finishing between Harris just before their goal and the lad who scored for them was sizable, in a really similar chance.

We just needed a calm 10mins after equalising but you could tell by the way we rushed to get the ball back to the centre spot (something normally seen when chasing a game) that we only had one thing on our minds and I think that showed a bit of naivety to the situation.

Hopefully Lynch can be a good option and suddenly you've got 4/5 wide players to rotate as necessary.

There's enough there to get a good points return but think we will need to learn to be a bit wiser to game situations at times and that probably applies to Ramsey as well.

Well Trevor, I’d say it’s not that much heavy lifting; all these players played in the Championship with a most of these having significant appearances; Brown, Spencer, Currie, Long, Brannagan, Harris, Goodrham, Dembele (previously with Birmingham too) and McDonnell.

I agree re; Spencer as Kioso’s not going to change much, but thought Spencer didn’t have a great game.

Missanga tearing them apart, I beg to differ. He grew into the game, but could hardly stand up, hold onto the ball or even pass to a team mate for 30+ mins. He did do one good run, but then gave the ball away. Add to that, he hasn’t played much game time/league football, so I fully understand him being substituted for a fresh pair of legs.

O’Donkor is scoring when he comes on which is great news, but not sure what he’d been like starting the game e.g. not sure he would effect the game as much as he has, plus not sure Harris coming on would be as effective, but can understand why some would want to start him. Also, not sure how many mins O’Donkor has in him, he’s always struck me as someone who tires quite quickly, but that may have changed!

I just think some fans get carried away with the younger/academy players as they’ve come through the system (one of our own !!), but it was clear they lack physicality/knowhow etc, but we are where we are due to the off field situation.

Put it this way, if we weren’t in our current situation then some of these players wouldn’t be making the bench at best and getting the odd few mins here and there and slowing building them into potential full time professionals which would be the normal course se!

I hope you’re right when you say you’ve seen signs that we’ll be comfortable until January, but I think the jury’s still out, especially with our game at Orient too!

I’m not sure Huddersfield will be there or thereabouts when things start to settle down.

I actually thought the game was poor last night with it being frantic, no structure, no composure and generally poor quality for both teams.

I expected better from us, especially with our experience, but as I and others have said, our more experienced players were poor last night. They’ve dropped to a League One level which within 3 yo 4 games is unbelievable!

I predict Huddersfield, Leicester, Sheffield W and Reading will be in the top 4 this year.
To get two of those matches away from home in our first 3 is tough.

We have to get our two new signings up and running and find our best team, when everyone is fit
Woo, Roosken Cumming Emakhu and Leigh will be available.
My only real concern is up front every one of those teams I mentioned has a good strike force we dont

I'm holding onto the fact that under KR we rarely put in a performance till about November and usually managed to be challenging by the end of the season. From what I've seen so far I think a mantra of 'being in touch come January' might be an ok aspiration and help manage frustrations
