I don’t rate Harris at all.. but to be fair to him our biggest issue is our lack of midfield. We need some creativity in there. Someone pulling the strings, linking defence and attack and creating stuff. Plus getting the ball in the box. Or even taking some shots from outside the area. We rarely just put the ball in there.

We did so well to get back in the game but then at 1-1 were so naive defensively and gifted them 2 goals and it could have been more. We almost stopped playing once we equalised and looked like we were running in treacle all of a sudden.

Disappointing night, just showed how far we are from being seriously competitive even in this league. We just haven’t got any physicality, height or pace and are going to struggle with no depth whatsoever.

Worrying we seemed leaden legged compared to them and we hadn’t played for 10 days and should have been fit and as fresh as daisies. Instead we looked like pansies in the last 20 minutes.

That one was all about the defence or lack thereof. Thought we moved the ball about well for most parts. Yes we do lack some killer instinct up top, but Missanga showed enough, Dems is ok, Tyler still off it for me, Harris just Harris and Gatlin looking busy. Snowden moved well for the goal but otherwise did look a touch nervy.

When I saw the team, I was suprised to see Kioso dropped, thought he was great at Stevenage. And whilst I csn understand Long for Helik, because he's better with the ball and more mobile, I do think that makes us very susceptible to set pieces.

For me, Ramsey has to build consistency in that defensive set. Its the strongest part of our squad, so we just need to lock it down.

We do need to ease Cams burden a bit too. Other people trying to make stuff happen would be welcome.

Oh come on, no midfield can find a forward who forever runs away from the ball. Harris is a passenger unless the ball fortuitously falls to his feet and his brain of so far behind real time he's scored before he knows it.

No shame in losing to a good side in our current predicament. I thought the youngsters were good, big credit to how they’ve stepped up. Much more needed from our experienced players though. I thought Dembele, Harris, Cam, Currie, Long and Brown were all below par. It’s going to be a difficult night when half your team are off it.

I can see what Ramsey is trying to do, I thought we kept the ball well at times and didn’t panic when we went behind, kept playing. But he perhaps needs to not to try to be too clever sometimes. Helik deserved to start after the last game, no need to make that change unless there’s a knock we don’t know about. Kioso came on immediately after we scored, with Spencer who I thought was one of our better players coming off, immediately after he’d been involved in the goal. Sometimes it works and other times not I guess, but when it doesn’t you’ll get a bit of stick.

Currie fast becoming a weak link.

But: Andrews looked very good, and in the last 10 we actually played some of the best fast-moving passing football I’ve seen from an OUFC team since the days of Lundstram, Roofe and O’Dowda.

I think there’s still a good season to be had, but we must get Helik, Andrews and O’Donkor in the starting line up and pronto.

Eastwood MOTM, kept us in it multiple times, nothing he could do for the goals much. Legend.

Thought GOD looked great as always this season. He has to start. I thought Snowden looked good, there's an intelligent player in there, picked off some clever passes and moved it quickly and I thought his movement was good. Also thought Andrews looked tidy- physical, good touch.

Goodrham is trash. What the hell has happened?! Ditto Branagan tonight. And Long. And Currie. And Harris. All our senior players, as people have outlined. Really bad.

Missanga a mixture of brilliant and terrifyingly sloppy.

Start GOD and Helik, bring Emakhu back in and it'll look a hell of a lot better.

And fans who think the academy players are a positive, well, I’d say they are well off it. Not physical enough for this league, so when you add the likes of Dembele, Goodrham etc, it’s really a weak squad!

Due to the monumental f**k-ups by management we took a pizza cup lineup to one of the best sides in the division. I thought we did quite well in the circumstances. Our midfield is poor though and the contrast between number nines was very striking,

Helik and Brown are the best back 2 partnership at the club
McDonnell a big loss when he went off
Dembele has ability, but defensive awareness and end product, just not good enough. He plays like he’s got a free role, so put him in the 10 if you have to.

Agree with most of this. Midfield fell apart when McDonnell went off - he was doing 90% of the covering. Brannagan is miles off his best physically & mentally. We need a fit BDK
Unless Andrews is something special we don't have a worthwhile attacking midfielder: Goodrham is gossamer, doesn't look where he's passing and thinks he deserves better, Dembele always slows things down then either just gives it away, passes back or shoots at the player making the block - I hate watching him play.
I don't like watching Harris play 'up front' much either.

Ah well, kids got some time. O'Donkor looks like a striker. Ket's get through this season and I hope we'll have some recruitment nous in place.

Could be worse, we could be Preston.

Personally the injuries to Kent and Jo have been an unnoticed big issue.

League 1 is not great and I still believe we can be right up there.

Hopefully Currie is just a bit rusty, he didn’t start last season particularly well but grew into and looked a good player, at the moment he is struggling.

Ditto Goodrham but with the caveat he hasn’t really looked good for a long time now, hard to know where to play him. At the moment you start to wonder if he is just one of those players who makes a bright start to a career but never really pushes on, his physical shortcomings are working against him and he needs to find a way around that.

No! Our defence was awful! Just because 2 happy clappy said it wasn’t means nothing! Some pointless stat. A lot of teams could have put more goals past us, if they wanted. Most just wanted 3 points with minimal effort. And still not sure what point your making.
