And fans who think the academy players are a positive, well, I’d say they are well off it. Not physical enough for this league, so when you add the likes of Dembele, Goodrham etc, it’s really a weak squad!

Yep, cannot believe the amount of bet wetters on here (actually I can) after one defeat against a top 6 team. No issue with people dissecting the performance but no need to panic at this point.

We equalised in the 70th minute. By the 77th, we were 3-1 down. Defenders have to look at themselves today, didn’t do well enough individually or as a unit. Something for Ramsey to work on for sure.

In the first half we had a lot of the ball but very little cutting edge - missing the options of Jin-woo and Emakhu tonight.

Donks was a bright spark yet again, offering much more of a presence and goal threat up front - he has to start the next game for me.

It’s not the end of the world, but we have to learn from the mistakes of tonight.

Disappointing but not too surprising when you look at the team we started. Slightly worrying how many of the experienced seem to go into hiding. Another tough game at the weekend, after what has been a pretty tough set of opening fixtures.

I’m not sure that any other League One side would play Sam Long at centre back if they had Helik fit and on the bench.

Oh and can we keep Greg Leigh please? Because Currie looks like he can’t kick a ball at the moment, he’s all over the place

Something that troubles me is our inability to play a 6 - 12 yard pass. Even more worrying is that these issues are happening to people like CamBran and Long rather than historic usual suspects.

If we can't do the simple stuff then we end up causing ourselves problems at the back and not causing any trouble at the other end.

My thoughts:

- Helik + Brown need to start at CB
- O'Donker deserves a start. He is far from the complete centre forward, but he is strong and quick and poses more of a threat to opposition defences than Harris
- A midfield consisting of Brannagan, McDonnell, and Goodrham is too lightweight. We need more presence in midfield. On that note...
- Kai Andrews looked promising and showed a bit more poise and physicality than the aforementioned trio. Expect him to start before long
- Our full backs need to step it up. Currie is supposed to be tearing it up at this level. He looks average so far
- Missanga looked like Bambi on ice to begin with but, once he settled down, he showed that he is tricky and more than capable of beating a man. Hopefully the final product will follow soon and he doesn't end up as Dembele 2.0

A disappointing result but I think Huddersfield will be there or thereabouts at the end of the season, so a loss at their ground is not the end of the world.

I think a dose of realism is finally settling in now for many fans. At least no one is now dreaming of us going straight back up!

We know our 'first team' should be good enough to compete in this league, but so far they've not been good enough by any measure, a real lack of composure, lack of quality on the ball, and not enough going forward. That is on the senior players and they have to do more, do better.

At the moment yes it's our young players are coming up with the goods so far and that is to their credit. And long may it continue. But it's going to be a struggle until Jan.

Weird game. Anti-Rowett. Played extraordinarily high all night and left loads of gaps but it did kinda work at times against one of the strongest teams in the division. Clear that everyone is being asked to move the ball much quicker too. Think Ramsey will regret the decisions he made after the equaliser tbh. Massive credit to the youngsters.

Tonight was nothing to do with transfer embargo or squad depth. Key players such as Brannagan, Long and Currie didn’t perform. I really don’t see why Long is preferred to Helik. Irrespective of who we are playing we look so much more solid with Helik and Brown.

This was true. Andrews looked ok, but Huddersfield started to slice through us after those subs.

Loads of positives. Most of the negatives were because we chased the game for once, I can live with that. Taylor was the big difference, but GOD will be better than him we've got to make sure he's on a good contract. Could be a season of many goals, and we will win more than we lose.

Cam is a big worry certainly doesnt look like he's moving well ,definitely lost some pace .I just can't see Long before Helik theres no comparison, so so depressing. And Leicester away can only see another defeat sadly. Just when you need players fit they are falling like flys. The youngsters battled hard the season pros were very poor, but I suppose we've got to stay positive and hope the gypsy curse lifts again and like the phoenix we rise,COYYS

McDonnell a big loss when he went off
Dembele has ability, but defensive awareness and end product, just not good enough. He plays like he’s got a free role, so put him in the 10 if you have to.

Because we have Harris. Duh!

I don’t rate Harris at all.. but to be fair to him our biggest issue is our lack of midfield. We need some creativity in there. Someone pulling the strings, linking defence and attack and creating stuff. Plus getting the ball in the box. Or even taking some shots from outside the area. We rarely just put the ball in there.
