Wasn't there a thread on this on the old forum with details of appearances and goals?

Billy Jeffrey, Hugh McGrogan and Andy Bodel were all Scottish...and Mick Tait a Geordie, I think.

May have been our youth teamers - but hardly “home-grown”!

Archie White was Scottish ...or of Scottish heritage wasnt he?

Peter Foley

Chris Hackett

Dean Whitehead

and......

wasnt there two brothers, Simon and ? Weatherstone? .... didnt both end up at Boston utd?

Ross Weatherstone was another. They were Reading born but presumably you mean any ‘home grown’ player as one that came through our youth team at some point even if they joined from another club.

Think most of these qualify as I’m certain all played a first team game at some point. Some understandably more successful than others.

Chris Hackett
Dean Whitehead
Billy Beechers
Paul Burton
Ben Weedon
Declan Benjamin
James Clarke
Matt Taylor
Alex Fisher
Sam Warrell
Simon Cox
Max Crocombe
James Roberts
Sam Humphreys
Sam Long
Jamie Brooks
Paul Wanless
Robbie Mustoe
Lee Nogan
Craig Davies
Rob Folland
Miles Welch-Hayes
Tyrone Marsh
Joey Beauchamp
Aaron Woodley
Tom Winters
Jorden Holder

EDIT. A few more names have sprung to mind. The ones in the list above did make our first team but the ones below probably didn’t make a first team appearance - Michael Alexis, Rob Lovegrove and Dexter Blackstock (despite his impressive CV after leaving us)

'home grown' = came through the ranks and/or were local(ish) lads who played in the first team (even if the joined from another club)

Aiden Hawtin ( aka 'ballboy' v Ritchie in the 2-0 home win over Sw*nd*n)

had a first team cameo appearance in the away game to Tramere a few seasons after the 'ballboy' incident.... cant recall if he made any other first team appearances though?

Eddie Anaclet Odhiambo.

Came through the academy, but went to Southampton before coming back to Oxford.
