Finding it depressing even listening to debates about teams in a similar predicament as us so has to be bad if one can't even revel in others misery.

Actually Robinson reminds me of Talbot in that we were getting a manager with a proven track record at the level we were playing.

Most fans welcomed him ,then we listened to his drivel after each match. The results and players got worse.

We all know that he should have been replaced much earlier,he wasn't and the rest is history.

Will history repeat itself?

It gets better by just sticking together. Working harder. Learning from our mistakes.
The players we have signed are not terrible. No-one on here shouted ‘he’s f*****g s**t’ at any of our signings.
So, we have players here and now that can do a job.
They will do a job. They will come good. We still have a monstrous amount of football to play in this season.
We have played poorly, we all can see that, yet we could still f*****g win this league, despite the fact that we have been so abysmal.
1 spawny win maybe all it takes to turn the tide. 1 shitty goal and a clean sheet.
So let’s get behind them and the manager. It can happen yet.
We Can succeed. Drag ourselves out of this hole... and it will be all the f*****g sweeter that we did it the hard way.

5 loanies allowed in the match day squad. We've 6 already.

But... Holmes may miss more games and Garbutt can't make the team, so perhaps another player can be brought in on loan. Another left back. Ideally someone who could play further forward too.

The most important thing is to stop conceding bucket full of goals. We have to defend far better as a team. Tuesday's goals were due to one fluke (which should have been cleared before then) and two big mistakes (Mousinho should have defended that good far better and Ruffels challenge was reckless)
Accrington defended really well and were very organised.
With Browne, Whyte, Holmes, Carruthers, Smith, Hanson I reckon we will score enough when we get going but we can't concede three goals a game.
Where have The gutsy organised Wigan away performances gone?

And a bloody striker

Too bloody right
Instead of fishing for a 20 goals striker...we could put some effort in to set pieces?

Could easily pick up 15/20 goals with some decent thought from corners etc

Well at least they stopped that ridiculous 'holding the ball up like a new-born heir to the throne before banging it down for another player to blast wildly anywhere' routine. That counts as progress - baby steps and all that!
