With flags apparent at premier league games we have been watching on TV over the last 3 days does anyone know if we are able to take our own flags to be on display at the Kassam for our home playoff match v Pompey.......?
Has anyone made contact with the club........?

On Twitter the other day someone asked and the club send they are looking into.

From Oxvox email:

"
Oxford United fans are being invited to drop off their flags at the Kassam Stadium to further show their support for the squad at our home playoff game against Portsmouth!

We are delighted to see so many of The Yellow Army have already backed the club in renewing their season tickets and supporting the “Fans in the crowd” initiative.

Bring your flags to the Kassam, to be put on display in the East and North Stands.

HOW: If you wish to see your flag displayed at next Monday’s Play Off second leg, volunteers from OxVox and The Yellow Army will be at the main reception of the Kassam Stadium from 10-2 on Saturday 4th July to accept delivery of your flag.

Flags and banners must be delivered in sealable bags which also include your name and contact details to ensure flags can be identified when returned. Each flag owner will also receive a numbered ticket which will need to be presented back to volunteers to secure the return of your flag.

After the match flags will be securely locked in the stadium. The arrangements for returning them to fans will be publicised after the playoffs.

All flags must still meet the club’s ground regulations, this means that any flags/banners measuring more than 250cm at their longest point should be made from fire-retardant material and a fire certificate must be produced. Proof of certification may be required.

Please note that flags must not contain any derogatory, defamatory or discriminatory wording or anything that we may feel is controversial or derogatory towards either our team or the opposition. Flags will be displayed at the club's discretion.

Please also ensure that where possible, flags or banners are prepared with proper eyelets/strings, to allow them to be securely fastened in the stands."

let’s just hope we don’t get the winds we had the other day.
would be flags and cardboard fans blowing around all over the shire

Too late for the Playoff semi finals, however as a source of revenue for OUFC perhaps the marketing dept could ( via the terrace or similar) offer a semi bespoke U's fans- flag(s) from the club shop

We dont know how long its going to be before 'we' are allowed to go and watch live football... personally, Id prefer the option of being 'represented'at home matches by a (bespoke) flag instead of a cardboard cutout myself

Who owns the big surfer flags, is it the ultras?
There must some crackers which could get an airing

Like this beauty.

As many of the big flags should be on display, there have been some fantastic ones over the last few years. I thought someone said they were stored at the ground. Due to the circumstances, couldn't any of the Ultra's come out of retirement for one last time? Or the people putting up the other flags, also put up the surfer flags?
