In the next episode of You are my Oxford podcast, we're ranking the seven in a row. But we need help to choose.

Watch our video here to remind yourselves.

Man this is so tough!

I went for the 2-0 L2 home win down to 10 men. Just a phenomenal result and performance against the odds. Not just in game (down to 10 men, couple of our key players out injured, our talisman off the field too). But that Swindon side were in ridiculous form, pummelling teams and SO pumped up to avenge the loss from earlier in the season.

My #2 & #3 would probably be the two 2-1 wins at the County Ground though.

(Although I do want to call out the Appleton team’s 2-0 FLT win over them. 2-0 was so flattering. We demolished them on the night. Lundstram was imperious. Graham and Baldock were unplayable. We were utterly dominant (even before they went down to 10)

For me it is the 2-1 away win. Di Canio’s pre match build of Beano being a Swindon fan, their squad should have beaten ours with the talent they had, going in front then getting pegged back only to score just be half time then pure grit to hang on for the win, the pre match beers in the pub and the police walking us up to the ground. The whole day was one of those special days out.

I didn’t attend the J -Lo game
But having been reminded for years by a friend who’d seen us win at the county ground in 1973 or so it was nice to see that one. I think I was in side stand rather than terrace behind the goal but great anyway.

I think it is the next away game but there is a great photo of a dozen fans all pissing up against an STFC mural on the way to the ground.

The DiCanio game at home was brilliant as they were top of the league , we went down to ten men and still won. *****-*** Di Canio. I don’t think he ever recovered from that after claiming he was signing Beano who I think chose club over money.

That, and the fact that it was our first win there in about 1000 years

All enjoyable, but the 2-1 bean one probably just pips it for me, even if just for the final whistle blowing and the noise of finally celebrating a win there.

Hall winner, 2-0 home to do the double over the Teemu Mussolini and that 2016 trophy win where you realised we were actually much better than them now being the other contenders for me.

Anyway, while you all debate this important point, please give our podcast a follow/subscribe/watch. You won't want to miss the next episode, in which we'll discuss all seven games in detail... and you'll see something that no-one has seen for years on our YouTube episide.

or or wherever you get your podcasts.

As much as the last game in the seven is special for me being the last game I went to with dad before he passed away, my favourite is the 2-0 when Beano got sent off.

Started the day at at The Priory, and "jeered" the Scum coaches coming in. Game started, and the massive low of Beano sent off after about 10mins... can only go one way now. Then the shock and delerium of two goals in next to no time, suddenly we are 2-0 up, something to lose. The scum rallied and pummelled our defence, but the crowd got behind our boys and they fought like Trojans. Bodies on the line, every ounce of effort given. We held on for what I think is our most important win against "them" since the 5-3 game in the 90s.

Loved them all but I`ve gone for the Robbie Hall game at Pig Hill.

That shot will last in my eternal memory as I was pretty much right in line with it ............. bliss.

If i had two votes second would be the Jefferson Louis 1-0 - especially the changing room camera after. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

If I had seven votes............ all of them.

There is something special about our derby....... doesn`t happen that often but the venom, hatred and, dare I say respect, is always there. We both have real "roller coaster" teams to support.

And who can forget these two clowns being stopped by 2 foot high advertising boards..............

Still watch this video at least twice a week…

The man who you hear the most is hilarious “GO AWAY”

We somehow ended up coming in just behind the Swindon team coach for this game. My mums face when a kid of about 5 climbed up the hill near the priory and gave them all the finger was a highlight…

Was it the home game where Swindon fans were giving it the big one on the buses only to then panic when our fans tried to get onto the bus? ‘Shut those f*****g doors’ 😂😂

This for me too. Whilst the J Lo game started the run, it was our first win at the CG after donkey’s years and led to those other wins that flowed afterwards.

Wilder went unbeaten against them after that and so did MApp (even the boycotted game that ended on a penalty shootout win for Swindon finished 0-0. We still got a point from it). That’s the game that started the dominance.

We've chatted to a few players who scored vs Swindon in our pod:

Paul Moody way back in Episode 2

Alfie Potter in episode 12

And Matty Taylor in season 2, episode 6

I really enjoyed all of these eps Dan.

Alfie Potter is a really top man. Absolutely top player on his day too.

It really should be the away win and the Robbie Hall winner.
After going there so many times and coming back disappointed, this win was fantastic to be part of.
But it has to be the 2 0 home game. Beano sent off early, Swin*** being top of the league and Di Canio's theatricals ( didn't he say beforehand that they would hammer us and afterwards he would walk round-the- pitch with his Swin*** flag held aloft?). A ridiculous win against the odds enemy in a fantastic atmosphere

Thanks Londox. We've got another guest lined-up for tomorrow's episode too (although he didn't play against Swindon). Share with your friends!

That was the game under MApp with Maguire running around the pitch laughing at the inbreds and pretending to cry 😅

Nathan Thompson had a right tantrum in Maguire's direction after the final whistle iirc.

NT was the one who should have got sent off instead of Vigouroux (again iirc), but LV getting sent off against us again was a thing of beauty.

Today's the last day when your vote will count (we're recording at 5pm).

We took your votes into account, but was it enough? Will you agree with our guest? And if watching all the goals from the 7 in a row isn't enough for you, see Mark Rawle's reaction when he sees his wondergoal for the first time in 20 years. A belting episode, this.
