National Politics šŸŸ¢ The Green Party

What this shows is how rattled by the greens the right and the establishment are. If someone had told you the green party would be getting this much coverage just 3 years ago nobody would have believed it.
Rattled? Nah, the bloke is just a scumbag.

You and most others on this forum would s**t your pants faced with some nutter weilding a knife running around stabbing people, but we're expected to feel sorry for him because an unarmed copper booted him in the head to try and get him to drop said knife.... morons.

That's not what I said. He made a twatty decision to repost something, and it's been jumped on and blown up out of preportion when you compare it to the twatty things similarly done by other politicians. 3 years ago anything the green leader did would get practically no coverage at all.

He's been rightly pulled up on the repost.

But he reposted got the flack for it apologises and think that’s that. Sorry but that will haunt him with regular reminders.

But they haven’t forgotten about Polanski and his I can hypnotise women and get larger tits breasts
That is his magnum opus, to be fair.

By the time we get to elections, it'll be the hypno tiddies, the "I stand up for terrorists" schtick, and then Palestine and islam-appeasing stuff. It will win him plenty of votes from one demographic, but I expect the Greens will still be a tiny party and we won't actually get much in their manifesto (or elsewhere) about how they're going to save the environment.

There should be a right wing green party for younger people - I think that's part of what made David Cameron so popular at the beginning.

Certainly the likes of the Telegraph/GB News won't forget but they seem to manage to forgot Farage's many things.

I suspect the same will be the case in reverse for the likes of the Mirror and the Guardian.

Both are generally preaching to the converted. I'm talking about those that aren't.

But like most political leaders Polanski is an idiot

Forget the telegraph & GB news I'm not forgetting Farage or Polanski, Starmer , the Tories or the Lib Dems

When just over half, of the 48 million electorate voted at the last general election says it all..
Can only see it getting less & less. Who would actually vote for the clowns of every party.., & as for local politics šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™‚ļø

An absolutely clueless zealot who will do nothing to upset the core vote he is aiming to capture and its not white, middle aged British.

There is a perverse irony that he is exactly the sort of person that extremists of those he wishes to appease or "connect with" would throw from a tall building or hang in a town square.

I remember the days when we judged them all on their policy positions. What a shitshow we’ve got now.

When was that? Because I can remember John Major being boring etc, so unless it was pre my time I have a feeling that was never actually a thing, politics has always been show business for ugly people.

That Times cartoon illustrates how desperate some political leaders are to appease a particularly vociferous, fanatical, anti-semitic section of society.

Godwin raises slowly from his rest.................

If you can't see that the depiction of Polanski is anti-semitic (and btw deeply offensive) then I suggest that a) you invest in some new glasses, and b) take a history lesson
