General Great Things in Britain

Our ability to adopt others' cuisine into our national cuisine and in some cases export it back to country/continent of origin.
Are you thinking alphabetti spaghetti there or just your bog standard spaghetti hoops?

So you've perfected it, told us about the risk, but not told us the exact timings required. Typical mod, both helpful and useless in equal measures.
7 seconds on full blast. Because who uses anything other than the max temperature on a microwave?

Day-old Jam Doughnuts can be revived from their hardened state by giving them a quick spin in the microwave. This is a delicate procedure however. Too little time and the doughnut remains too hard. Too much time and you risk having uncomfortably hot jam squirt out when biting into it.
I once revived a doughnut but a delivery at the door meant that I didn't eat it straight away.

I can confirm that it can be revived for a second time but the quality drops with each revival. A bit like in Game of Thrones each time Thoros resurrects Beric Dondarrion.

In Britain, a land of vibrant hue,
From football's roar to skies of blue.
A pyramid of passion, strong and deep,
Where lower leagues their secrets keep.

The pubs, a haven, warm and bright,
A welcome sight, both day and night.
From US shores, from Aussie sand,
They marvel at this cherished land.

With orderly queues, a gentle art,
And humour that can mend the heart.
A history rich, a folklore spun,
A "weird but fun" Euro-Celtic run.

The music flows, a global sound,
Great bands and artists can be found.
The scenery fair, the buildings grand,
A law-abiding, food-filled land.

From Oxford's spires to ceremonies bold,
Of royal tales, both new and old.
Cricket's grace, and snooker's might,
And Chicken Tikka, pure delight.

A multicultural tapestry so wide,
Where diverse souls can walk with pride.
Though some may moan, a world-class trait,
Great Britain's spirit, truly great.

Dunking a Biscuit in a cuppa , a Custard Cream was my favourite now a Jammy Dodger . Us Brits did and do it the best !
started by the Romans (dunking, not Jammy Dodgers)

Going back to drinks.
Apart from Hawkstone on draught.
Tried a few pints of Dorset Knob bitter on holiday in Swanage. That is some drink

I'm really not keen on Hawkstone, in bottle or on draught. To me it just tastes like a generic lager. The cider isn't up to much either. It would be great if they did a cask ale. Cask ales are of national importance.

The good old Full English Breakfast, Egg,Bacon,Sausage,Beans,Tomatoes, Mushrooms,Black Pudding not to forget Fried Bread. No doubt I’ve left out some alternatives or added favourites, what’s yours?
