Commercial Gift box for those attending 15 or more away games 24/25

Fair play to the club for doing it and fair play to the fans who got them.

Interesting that its only 55 people that have made 15 away games, fair play to those, let them and the few that join them over the rest of the season have first dibs on away tickets (if they are season ticket holders) and let the rest of the season ticket holders, then members then general sale fight it out for away tickets next season, there’s your “point system”, no need to charge £30 and no need to over complicate it beyond this data the club already has.

It was given to me when I collected my Middlesbrough tickets pre-match yesterday.
As already said, it was a most pleasant surprise- a real happy moment.

Excellent! My tickets are normally posted, so I’ll wait to see if a nice surprise turns up with my Boro ticket.

Like you say, a very nice touch from the club. It’s nice to be recognised given all of the hours and financial outlay that comes with going up and down the country, especially during difficult periods.

See you at Boro 👍🏼

Interesting on two fronts.

Firstly that they claim only 55 people have done 15 out of 19 away games. Our lowest away attendance was just under 500 and the average is over 1,500 so I'd have thought a lot more than 55 would qualify.

Secondly that nobody else seems to have one.

I've done 18 out of the 19 games and one of our group of five gets our tickets every week. I wonder if he'll get one and the rest of us won't? All of us qualify with two of the five doing every away game.

Lastly, I think it's a good initiative, and a very photogenic gift, so I'm surprised the club haven't marketed this a bit better, or in fact at all.

It’s interesting, I had no reason to disbelieve LowerSouth, but I too thought 55 seemed to be an incredibly low number of fans that have done at least 15 away games.

There are 3 in our party that would qualify for starters.

I believe our world beating data analysis team have taken the information from supporters booking on the coach so the 55 will be correct .
If you travel by car ,train or fly like we do your not included in the stats .
Still a decent touch by the club 👏.

I too thought 55 was on the low side .
I see lots of familiar faces when I travel away .
We must have 15-20 regulars on the LRTC coach alone.
Add in @Paul B and crew that’s another 4/5.plus
@Colin B B and crew that’s approaching 30.
I’d have thought 150-250 ???

Given that the club send you preview emails that are adapted to whether or not you have a ticket, I assume they have (and are using) the data on who the tickets are assigned to when purchasing online.

And while there might be limitations, that shouldn’t stop the club recognising what are undoubtedly very committed supporters.

I’m on 13 away games currently, so no gold star for me.

It does sound like it is something done just for the LTR customers.

Maybe they only have 55 boxes?

A poor effort. You qualify only for a used and slightly stinky Swindon/Reading half and half scarf, postage charged to you as well of course
I'm a bit gutted I miss out by one game, assuming it's not just LRT away fans. Particularly as I've already booked for Middlesbrough, Sheffield Wednesday and Swansea, and just waiting for confirmation of Cardiff dates and times. For me I didn't bother with some of the midweek/Friday games for grounds I'd already been to with Oxford. So Coventry x 2 , Luton, Plymouth, Sheffield United. Watford on the Friday night I missed for a Paul Weller show, and Sunderland I would have been travelling on my own and didn't fancy the whole day for a ground I've ticked off.

Also I'm slightly surprised that only 55 fans have been to 75% of the 21 away games (including Plymouth FA Cup and Coventry League Cup) so far, given we sold out the 1000 away memberships.

Maybe this is a move towards a points based away system for next season.

I wonder if it’s selected from those that purchased an Away Membership, many of which were purchased to guarantee a ticket for low allocation games- of which there haven’t been many ?

Is the pattern so far, it is just people who picked tickets up from ticket office who have so far received the gift?
I'm on 16 away games but the ticket is always posted.

4 of us are on 19 league games plus the 2 cup aways and the Mansfield away friendly!

Our other mate, who travels with us regularly, has done 18 league aways plus 1 cup game and together we've heard nothing either. We always book online with the tickets like yourself being posted.

Do you know what - I'm parched - where are these mugs when you need them lol.

COYMUGS.
