You're absolutely welcome here, and especially for such a good cause.Hello all, a Blade supporter here, I hope this is ok (Admin, if not, I apologise and please delete)
As with so many of us who consider ourselves fortunate to have seen George Baldock play for our clubs, I was shocked by the news of George's passing. I am not ashamed to say that tears were shed and reading through our own blades forum and threads like this one, I know I wasn't alone in this.
I saw Sam Baldock's news about launching the George Baldock foundation and I want to be able to do something to support. For this reason, I am going to do a bike ride to raise donations for the foundation. George felt like he was truly one of our own, but I also know how much he meant to every club he played for, so my plan is to link the EFL clubs he played for, Oxford United, MK Dons, Northampton Town and ending at Bramall Lane.
At this point, what I was really hoping for was any stories about George that people would be happy to share for me to highlight in social media posts etc. A couple of Blades supporters have done tribute songs at various points which I plan to use and there are so many stories which show just what a good man he was, along with being an incredibly talented and hard working footballer.
I hope this is ok, not really my comfort zone doing stuff like this but I hope it can make a difference.

TLCLIVE Highway Cycles Bike ride fundraiser for The George Baldock Foundation
Help Joshua Blackburn raise money to support The George Baldock Foundation - Prism the Gift Fundwww.justgiving.com
small donation madeWith the first friendlies of the season fast approaching, I wanted to start generating some more donations for the George Baldock foundation.
For those who haven't seen my other posts, I am doing a bike ride linking the EFL clubs George played for, its a total of 250km and I will do it on 14th August to raise money for the foundation.
Why am I doing it? to be honest, I am not really sure, I just know how much he meant to so many of us and I wanted to do something.
so far, donations total £495, with lots of very generous amounts given from supporters across the clubs.
However, the point to me has always been for the fans to be able to support collectively.
This is why I am going to try and push the message: Two for George.
The combined ground capacity of these clubs is 83,253.
If 83,000 supporters each gave just 2 × 10p, together we could raise more than £16,000.
if anyone is happy to donate, the link is below:

If anyone knows of any pubs or businesses who would be willing to put a poster up, please could you let me know as well.
I know times are tough financially for so many people, finding £5 or £10 seems a lot to ask. Would be great to see lots of little bits of support where possible.
Good luck for the start of the season, MK Dons at home made me smile given my bike ride.
Thank you so much pal.small donation made

Maybe try The Blackbird, Blackbird Leys Oxford? - a few miles further away, The Masons arms , Headington Quarry, Oxford, -Ampleforth Arms, Risinghurst Oxford, - Black Swan, Crown Street, Cowley, Oxford perhaps worth an ask too?Hi all, Do any of you have any suggestions for pubs or businesses local to the Kassam who might put a poster up for me to help share the word?
I will get in touch with them, just not sure if there are any particularly "Oxford United" establishments I should try.
I have also had to change the messaging slightly as found out JustGiving don't accept donations less than £2... live and learn hey?!
Booked my hotel for night of 13th, as I will be leaving early in the morning not sure I will see anyone but thank you for all the support, your fan base is an absolute credit.

Just wanted to thank you all for your support and donations, blown away from the support from you guys.
Finished the ride at 10
30pm, the afternoon in the heat was tough going and a fair few times I was tempted to just jump on a train, but I thought of the messages of support and also what George would have made of that, and I just kept going.
Will leave you guys in peace now, thank you again and have a good rest of the season.
