Like I’ve said, I don’t think he is anywhere close to championship level, but I will trust Rowett and his assessments on players this preseason.I think early on in his games for us, I think a couple of misses affected his confidence so hopefully he kicks on as he seems to have the right attributes.
I think sadly he will be off loaded in the summer ,if we go down we need better strikers, It's like being a tour golf pro that never holes 6 footers you are permanently behind the game. It's going to be a very quiet year for Gatlin. I was really surprised that he didn't have a loan move in January. Perhaps they feel he will benefit more from training with Championship level players than game time with a lower league team?
Surely he should be at Boreham Wood or similar, and take the chance to move back up from there. We've managed his development quite appallingly, I feel sorry for him.

Disagree. He’s simply not good enough. Physically imposing as a teenager but needs more than that. Never seen anything to suggest he’s good enough at championship or league one level. We've managed his development quite appallingly, I feel sorry for him.
He seems to be injured.. a lot.Disagree. He’s simply not good enough. Physically imposing as a teenager but needs more than that. Never seen anything to suggest he’s good enough at championship or league one level.
Why when he did OK in L1 last year?National league beckons.
Unless we pay off his contract, he can only sign for non leagueWhy when he did OK in L1 last year?
Why? Not being picky but what have you seen from him that suggests he should be in front of Bradshaw?I agree with that he should have been in front of Bradshaw at least in our unconvincing roster of strikers.
He didn’t really do that well, Rovers got relegated and they didn’t want to keep him.Why when he did OK in L1 last year?

This happens a lot in football. Youth teams are often full of people who are essentially in men's bodies but at children's age groups.I do get the impression that he was an early physical developer and so excelled at youth levels with raw strength and power. Once he reached senior football he lost that advantage.
The opposite of Liam Kelly then. This happens a lot in football. Youth teams are often full of people who are essentially in men's bodies but at children's age groups.

Didn't know that mate.I think they bought in rules to stop that.

I think he will eventually carve out a decent career as a National League/ League two journeyman. You'd make a big amount of money doing that these days.Yeah, not sure I buy this. Even though it's almost universally accepted.
He played a lot of football, very early on (22/23) and perhaps that was a big ask - but I don't really understand how, three seasons on, that would prevent him carving out a career in the Football League?
He's the same age as Alex Matos.
