My bollocking message and 10 point penalty mentioned 'other members' (plural) but I've no idea if that means two or dozens (or if it was imagined and presented as fact)

Have you tried "Mohammed on a scooter" "Buddha on a rickhaw" etc. or do they not scratch the itch?

Surely it would be Mohammed on a Moped?

after the entirely alliterative "christ on a bike"...

Zeus on a goose, surely.

Dalai on a Llama?

[Oufcrealist]

More to the point. Is Gary Rowett a cyclist ?

[SSO]

As this is the Rowett thread we can get back on track with
Rowett on a Lion

Dalai on a Llama?

I’d put a fiver on that
If I were Tibetan man

Nah, a runner, so probably thinks cyclists are just runners being lazy.

Good move from BB

[BrockBuster]

If he keeps them up at our expense half of this forum are going to go into meltdown of I told you so.

Despite his doing well there having no real bearing on whether he could turn around our squad.

[Berliner]

Absolutely understandable appointment if it goes through, and makes our job that little bit more difficult.

[Littlemore Local]

In their run in they've got away games at Derby, Oxford, Millwall, Birmingham and Stoke. They're going to hear a lot of the Gary Rowett song in the next few weeks.

[greatunclekip]

They couldn’t have made a better appointment to keep them up and re-stabilise in the Championship..

[Oxford84]

Will Blackburn play for a 0-0 when we play them at home?

GR not going to Blackburn after all.

Michael O'Neill has entered the equation for the job.

[Osleroad]

I think we could all do without that kind of Karma

[SirAndyOfCrosby]

Looks like he's got the Leicester job.

Really could go either way for them. We know he'll make them more solid, but I wouldn't be surprised to see them do a Birmingham 23/24 - too little, too late.

[McXal]

From Rowett’s perspective if he keeps them up and they get a little bit of a grip of their football operations/financial set up over the summer it’s an unreal opportunity for him. From getting sacked at relegation candidates Oxford to genuinely having a chance of managing in the Premier League.

(With the obvious risk that they are spiralling badly right now, and if they do sort themselves out the pressure on him will be immense to win almost every week. VERY different to where most of his Championship experience lends itself…)

[Symp59]

He will do a good job there if he kept us up last year with our squad i don't think he will have a problem sadly.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he isn’t there next season if he keeps them up, I read that it’s just a contract till the end of the season and unless they really really improve I can’t really see them wanting to go into next season with him in charge

Maybe they might actually back him next season unlike the clowns in charge here

[holdsteady]

Lives not to far away, probably on good money with a nice bonus for keeping them up, do that and they will get rid but he can do Sky work till next years struggling championship club employs him. Worse ways to earn a very good living.

[Steve Gilbert]

With their squad then it shouldn’t take too much to keep them up IMO. It’s a short term deal by all accounts which probably suits all parties.
I personally can see West Brom dropping. At this stage of the season it is usually a team outside the bottom 3 that drops down.

Gary Rowett managing ex premier league attackers, what could go wrong?

He kept us up so I would happily bet a lot of money on him keeping them up.

Possibly, but his in game management and football are absolutely atrocious.

If he does a poor job there and they go down he needs to drop down to lower league one to pick up some credibility instead of multiple relegations and terrible football.

Can't wait to see the betting slip.

[EastStandKieran]

I should imagine the Leicester fans can't wait for Rowettball he's got sacked from Oxford and Leicester will be hoping he can keep them up oh how the tables have turned

BTW I liked Rowett but his football was s**t , he drains the quality out of his players
