Current Player Thread Frankie Kent

it ain't his fault we've messed up. we've gave the man a contract and I imagine we've got to stick to it
Oh I agree with that, I’m just saying we’ve taken somebody on and we are paying them so why can’t they play.
If the EFL had stepped in and said you can’t sign him on fair enough, but we had already done that pre embargo

There does seem to be a bit of a contradiction. We can’t actually sign him, but we have to pay him yet if he’s injured we still have to pay him but he wouldn’t be allowed to play if he was fit.
Is this about right?

If there's a loophole we should take advantage of it, simple as that. We aren't a care home.
Wow
Just imagine if our government decided that they found a loophole when we got to state pension age and they decided that the state wasn’t a care home and just shot everyone at 67.

Would you be happy with that?

No, because if he is injured we won't have to pay him. That would be the insurance company, possibly in conjunction with the PFA

Actually, it's more likely that we would pay him and claim the money back from the insurance but it's the same thing in effect
I suppose in the embargo situation we find ourselves in - where we're counting every £ of our outgoings spent on player wages - we could really do with it going directly to the player via the insurance company, rather than via us.

Wonder if there’s anything in the insurance policy that, because he cant be registered to play, the policy is voided. Obviously I have no idea, just a hypothetical, but would be just our luck atm

I remember when you said that you didn't care about Konak getting injured at the end of the season because he wasn't our problem any more.

Or that the women's team didn't deserve to share the men's award night.

Or the players disrespecting the club by bring their kids out before the Sheffield Wednesday game.

Or the club doing too much to recognise Amelia Aplin when they should have been focused on "our" game.

It's not just about not being that club, which we'll never be. But don't be that person that is just nasty for absolutely no reason.

🫲Six seven🫱

Sorry, what were you saying again? I got distracted.

Some of that you’ve just completely made up or twisted it to a degree you might as well have made it up. The only bit of that you have right is about Konak and that’s absolutely true, there aren’t enough hours in the day to worry about anything and everything that is outside of your control. I mean kids are dying of starvation in Africa right now but I can’t let that ruin my day. You love to come across all selfless and saintly but I reckon there’s more sincerity in speaking honestly from the heart than getting your answers from a text book every single time.

Are you okay?

I’m fine. You ?
Quite rough to be honest but it's a lot to get into here. Thanks for asking though

The reason I asked is that you're acting a little more wild and peculiar than usual and are straying into some thinking patterns that could be harmless but could be a bit of a spiral. Wondered if you were taking care of yourself. Glad to hear you feel alright
